We lost about 23 people from the initial start of the attack. Then they started stealing things and orders were given to raise the colony. They found me and threatened me with my own life -- they wanted us to either pay tribute or denounce our Federation ties and join the Cardassian Union."

: : : : : : : : : Sky thought about that. Both good questions. What if the Cardassians were being set up? Had anyone thought of that? Or just him?

: : : : : : : : Bartlet looked very somber at the question asked, "Our security force was small, Lieutenant. They were more peace keepers and law enforcement, not soldiers of war. They are all dead. Cardassian disrupter blasts. And that building over there," pointed Bartlet to a building in complete rubble, "Was the security building containing any security footage. If anything is still intact, the data would be in there."

: : : : : : : "Ma'am...if you don't mind I'd like to go check out that facility and see if we can get any logs recovered." He said to Rhynia awaiting her approval before he walked off. "Or if you want me to go with a buddy, I shall take Warrant Officer Henderson with me but I figured you might want him here." He added.

: : : : : : "It should be alright to go alone, just proceed with caution and check in with me periodically so I know you're still among us," Rhynia responded, "Let me know what you find."

: : : : : "Aye ma'am." William said as he raised his phaser and flipped his tricorder around from his side to the front where he could get some readings.

: : : : : Moments later he arrived at the area where the security building once stood only now to find it ruins. He began to scan for any sort of power signatures to start with...

: : There were no active power readings. Power for the security building came mostly externally, save the backup generators which were apparently destroyed as well.

: : : : Amelia simply listened while she scanned the area with her tricorder, looking for clues.

: : : : "Do you know what they used for explosives?" Amelia asked, looking to get a overall picture of what happened.

: : : "I'm only getting trace elements at the moment....we'll have to have more detailed scans to see what was used." He replied trying to find voids in the collapsed building that might have intact computer consoles.

: : Tricorder readings showed the backup generators were set to overload, causing a fire and the buildings destruction.

: "Looks like these generators that ran power to the building overloaded...looks like we have our first clue. They seem to have been set to overload."

: William then scanned the area seeing if he could pick up any Cardassian technology that might have been dropped during the attack, or even something pointing to the Cardassians as the culprits of this attack.

Lily had wandered after the pair. She had an inkling of an idea and wanted to share it. "Do you think there's a chance the weapons weren't really Cardassian? Like maybe the Cardassians were being framed?"

Lily
