: : : : : : : : "Well, I'm sure that anxiety will disappear in time," Rhynia replied, "You have a good department under you, and if you ever have any questions, myself and the other department heads can help you out with the administrative aspects of things....I'm afraid I'm a poor scientist myself, coming from an intelligence background, but given you submit your reports to me, I have a pretty good idea of what generally needs to go in those. Some general things, all issues and problems are brought to me first, most things I can solve without involving the Captain, but it's up to me to decide what does and does not need to be reported immediately to the CO. All things do eventually make it onto his desk in the form of a report, but sometimes things need to be brought immediately to his attention, I will make the decision on whether something does or not. Otherwise, I mainly expect the DHs to run their departments as they see fit so long as it agrees to the letter of regulations. Any questions so far?"

"Well," Rhynia paused, "It depends on how you're asking, as a colleague and friend, no objections, but more as a date, well I can think a Marine Major I know may have a few objections," she replied kindly, Bishop and her hadn't officially stated their intentions, but she wanted to see how their relationship would develop.
