: : As the Victorious entered the system, the sensors did an automatic scan of the area. They picked up the satellites orbiting the Ultra-giant, and also, on the edge of the system, four small unidentified objects. They didn't seem natural, but as they were distant, and had yet to move towards the Victorious, the sensors simply noted their presence. A Science officer would have to do a detailed examination of the scans to notice them.

: : The helm officer put the ship to a full stop and said, "Sir, we have arrived."
Kaya nodded as she took a quick look at the data they had already. "On screen..." she ordered as she waited for what was sure to be a magnificent sight in front of her.
=/\= Captain Johansen to Lt Grandur, please report to the bridge, we have arrived at our destination. =/\=

: : Although it took twenty minutes after the arrival, the people on Gr'nth had suddenly become panicked. A four-ship research detail that had been testing the limits of their new fusion drives had detected a large body, most likely a vessel, on their radar-based sensors. As the ships were close to Gr'nth, the messages came in within minutes of receiving the long-range radar sweeps. They didn't know quite what it was, but invasion was a possibility. There was so much that was unknown that was out there.

: : The king, upon considering all of the information, decided to do the only thing he could.
: :
: : "Arm two of our vessels and send them out to greet this new arrival," the king said.
: :
: : He hoped this new arrival was nothing, but he would find out soon enough. The armaments were designed to destroy stray solid bodies that posed a threat to Home. They were plasma-burst inducers, which fired hotter than what they considered as their sun. It wouldn't be able to overwhelm the shields of a Starfleet vessel quickly, but they could definitely pose a problem.

: As soon as the Victorious reached its destination, Justice began to sweat nervously. Here it was, his first mission as an officer. He smiled to himself as he tugged at a wrinkled corner on his uniform. Sure, it was only a standard patrol shift, by Massoli loved the thought that he had exceeded everyone's expectations. Too dumb. Too dimwitted. Too stupid. However they put it, Justice was used to people telling him he wasn't intellectually inclined enough to accomplish his goals. What they underestimated, though, was the giant's sheer determination and will power. Combined with his massive frame and outrageous speed and dexterity for his size, Ensign Massoli was indeed a very capable officer. The security patrol was very important, and Massoli took it seriously. He just wondered if he would be asked to do anything, more challenging, during the Victorious' mission on Gr'nth.
