August Fleet 2 Report on Starfleet Command

Fleet 2 Report August 2010
aFComm – Cale Reilly
aAFComm –Missy Bradley

General Comments: With Chris' departure much of the fleet’s staff were shook up. He worked very hard, was well liked, and will be missed as a CO a crewmember and a FComm. With this going on obviously the second annual fleet shuttle race has been put on the back burner. Things to get it going for mid august should have started mid September so hopefully once things have settled and of course, with fleet 5s permission again we can get that sorted. I would really like to spotlight Kat Dedul for the support she has given the Polaris as well as finding time to manage her own ship in the fleet and the numerous other things she does. What a busy bee :) Additionally Missy Bradley former XO It concerns me the number of people who still are not submitting their reports on time but this is a minor issue that will no doubt be easily rectified once a new FComm is in place.

Kudos to everyone for a good month all-round despite some hardships.

OP 45
CO: Helen Hosick
Report: Crew posting level: 6
Senior staff posting level: 5
Overall ship health: 6
Ship status: The sim seems to be on a go slow. However the crew are keeping themselves busy with side Sims though this could impede the main sim if things don’t pick up on it. Hopefully once Gralan re appears the sim should take on a new lease of life and pick up again. Kudos to Linds and Matt for the work they are doing with their characters, it looks like something sinister could be afoot their.
We are currently looking for a new CMO due to Josh's departure.

Ship status: The sim is still going. Due to a few LOAs and AWOLs, the posting rate has not been quiet as good as I know it could be. But with everyone back and things back on track this should hopefully pick up for next month. Kudos to those who have continued to post through :) the side Sims are good to read and the main sim is heating up.

Comments: As I said in my report things have been on a bit of a go slow with the OP this month due to a number of AWOLs and LOAs however this hasn’t prevented the crew from posting along with some very interesting side sims it shows that the enthusiasm is there it just needs the focus to get the main sim running along and when that happens things will most likely pick up.

Ship status: My crew is awesome. We're a bit slow due to some LOAs and losing a few strong posters due to that evil monster called real life, but we'll be fine. We're moving ahead on the sim and a few side plots.

Spotlight(s):
My XO, Mary Church, has really stepped into her role. She's even finding new people to join the ship! So now we have two people recruiting for the ship. She is an excellent and motivated person and I'm thoroughly pleased with her work so far!

Robert Archer is another person I'd like to pick on this month too. He's stepped into the CSO spot and continues to be a fixture on the ship, I don't think the Connie would be the same without Dragrin Angelster! :)

Ship status: This month has been pretty steady in regards to posting, although I'm hoping it will pick up a little once the schools go back and normality returns. The sim is well underway now, and is keeping the crew busy and entertained.

Spotlight(s):
This month, I'd like to spotlight Jason White and Jo1 Koviljac for their wonderful interactions in their side sim. It has kept me absolutely riveted.

Sim overview: Posting has slowed slightly. The ship took a detour with a side sim and I had to bring it back on track on this mysterious system. There are ghosts for Security to deal with, power issues for Engineering and radiation problems for Medical.

Comments: The Connie seems to be a busy beehive of activity despite losing some crew this month. A big pat on the back for the recruitment drive going on And Kudos to Kat, Mary and Jason for being the first ship team to submit all their reports on time this month ^^

USS Lexington
CO: Ian Kerby
Report: Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 8
Overall ship health: 8
Ship status: Apart from the usual and expected LOA's due to real life this month has been a smooth one all up. Everyone seems to be gainfully employed with both the main sim and some side sims running well.
Spotlight(s):
I'd like to think that all of my crewmembers are exceptional. I'm particularly enjoying the interplay between the senior officers at the moment and the way they are all keeping everyone in work and interested so no particular highlight this month just a "good job" to everyone.

Ship status: It's been a weird month and work has pulled me away more than I would have liked. However, I have found the ship/sim progressing well and feel that the ship has really come together, even with LOA's and what not at the moment. I am really excited about where the sim is going and can't wait to move forward.

Comments: The Lexington steams ahead this month with a mystery sim that promises excitement. I have really enjoyed reading the posts between the Lex's senior officers. Good Job to Ian and his crew! ^^

USS Polaris
CO: TBC
XO: Katherine Dedul
Report: Crew posting level: 7
Senior staff posting level: 7
Overall ship health: 7
Ship status: We've slowed a bit, but we're okay. I think everyone's just a bit busy getting ready to go back to school. We'll probably continue to hold steady where we're at until we get a new CO as well, but I'll do my best to keep everyone posting and the ship coasting so our new CO doesn't wind up with a mountain of work. :)

Spotlight(s):
Chris Grinder has truly worked his tail off for the Polaris and we will miss him as our CO!
Michelle Higdon and her army of NEs once again sticks out in my mine as excellent. I think that's why we aren't too worried about finding her a medical staff; she's quite adept at creating her own. Her NEs truly have their own personalities too; I look forward to reading her posts! :)

USS Rogue

Ship status: Ship has slowed down this month due to Jody doing a vanishing act as our GM, Joe as stepped in to wrap the sim up to not let things hang, and to fill time in before he takes over I did several side sims to keep folks busy.

Sim overview: I've just recently taken up the reins of Jody's sim as EGM, so the sim hasn't progressed much from last month. However, the Touplov survivors are getting ready to come aboard and get checked out while something strange if brewing behind the scenes.

Also, Robert Archer has created a few side sims to keep people busy doing inspection's, a bake off of sort's as well as a little competition between the CoS and the tactical assistant over who would become the new XO of the Rogue

Comments: I am concerned with how drastic the posting rate has slowed with the Gm vanishing however; this is only to be expected. Well done to Rob for trying his best to keep things as active as he could with side Sims and to Joe Bradley for stepping in as EGM.

USS Samurai
CO: Tyra Schroll
Report: Crew posting level: 8

Ship status: Posting has started picking up again. We have started our sim with Kenson and I personally am excited to see what happens. The crew seems to be settling in with me as the new CO. We are still working out a few kinks but it is working well.

Ship status: The sim has picked up again, and we've got pretty much everybody doing something. Security is investigating unauthorized modifications to the ship, we've got an away team going to an unknown vessel, and... we've killed off the former CO. Or we're close, at least. Still, plenty of entertainment to be had.

GM: Kenson Koh
Report: Crew posting level: 8
Senior staff posting level: 8
Overall ship health: 8
Sim overview: The ship had encountered an anomaly on their way to repair a communications array. Whilst investigating this anomaly, several crew members had disappeared including the CO. Soon, however, the CO had managed to return, with one deformed arm and one deformed leg. Several crew members were discovered to be behaving strangely and on investigation, were found to have disappeared, leaving their commbadges behind. Two of these crewmembers were found to have been studying star charts and the ship's systems. It seems that someone is planning a full assault on the Federation.
