Eric would find them, clean them, and give them back to you. You want to survive in a hostile environment with nothing but t&he basics? Leave Eric at home for that one. He was just thankful Surak had packed emergancy rations, otherwise it was quite possible the Security Ensign would starve to death.

: : : : : : : : : : : After an hour of hiking, Surak stopped the crew at a stream to refill their canteens and take a slight break. "We are a good 45 miles from the first camp site. Now I would recommend doing a little hunting while time permits, we will be stopping to eat in another two hours, and there is plenty of game around now." Surak said, himself waiting to see their reactions.

: : : : : : : : : : Arizhel smiled a klingon smile then jokingly said "Well i know i wont have problems but i think Little Eric here might if he can't light a fire to cook his food " she luaghed a klingon luagh slaping him on the back joakingly

: : : : : : : : : Eric looked up at her, smiling. "Oh, Arizhel, human men may not have songs sung about their bravery in battle, but we are hunter/gatherers by nature. You don't have to worry about me, though it's nice to see that you really do care." His cocky demenour was all front, though only people who had taken the time to get to know him would know that. He just hoped that he would be able to catch himself from dinner.

: : : : : : : : she took off her pack "i never said anything about catching your dinner its cooking it i was talking about" she said smiling at him as she rummaged through the pack "after all in this rain wont be able to light a fire and knowing the Weak human stumich your probably have to be transported to a hospital before the night is up" he tone she made shure came off as jovial and jokingly so that surak would not think they did not get along just that they where messing with each other

: : : : : : : Surak remained quiet and prepared his own canteen for refilling as well as pulling out a knife and small palm phaser. "I shall return shortly." Surak said before heading off to hunt.

: : : : : : she pulled out her own weapons then watched Surak dreamaly as he went off she cursed herself more for being so human in having this crush on a half vulcan half Androrian then wondered off herself to go hunt

: : : : As the other two walled off into the distance, Eric leaned against a tree and sighed as he pulled his weapons out of his bag. Luckily, he was a decent shot with a phaser, but the whole process of tracking an animal was going to be difficult for him.

: : : : Walking in the opposite direction to Arizhel and Surak, Eric hoped that some of the animals would be spooked by his fellow hikers and run in his direction. He was right. After hearing phaser fire in the distance, serveral animals came running his way, scurrying as fast as they could away from the threat, unknowingly into the sights of another. Eric fired at one creature that looked a little like a squirrel, but it shot up a tree before it could be hit. Another shot, aimed at a small deer, hit the trink of a tree instead of its target. Then, all was quiet.

: : : : Eric lay on his back, looking at the sky in frustration, trying to find some sort of calm in himself when he saw a flock of birds flying above him. Remaining on the floor, he brought his phaser up, and fired at the flock. Luck was with him this time and a bird squarked loudly as it tumbled to the ground. After nearly 20 minutes of searching, Eric finally found the bird. It was larger than he had expected, but that was OK. Picking it up, he fell back into his usual arrogant stride and walked back to the site to see what the others had caught.

: : : : : Surak had bagged a small creature five legs and three eyes. Skinning it back at the stop site, Surak put it in a bag and carried it with them. "What did you manage Eric?" Surak asked.

: : : : Eric shrugged as he held up his catch. "I dunno what it's called, boss, but it looks tasty." He grinned. The grin vanished when he realised he had no idea what to do with the damn thing now he had it.

: : : IC no phaser fire ever came from Arizhels Direction but shortly she came back draging what looked like a large boreish creature her clouthes where super muddy and riped alittle she it looked as if she did not use the phaser at all and she beat the thing with her klingon instencts smiling she started joking about the others catches "ahhh a wierd mutant bug and a giant Turkey" she pulled out of her other bag of stuff a tricorder and had it scan the animals to find out one if they where eatable and two What they where (lets make some names up)

: : Surak smiled lightly as he sealed the bag the creature was in and packed it away in a spare pocket. "We have a long hike ahead of us, we can prepare our catches when we set up camp." Surak said, wiping some of the rain from his eyes and starting off deeper into the woods.

: "Aye sir." Eric replied, grabbing his catch and following after Surak, glad of the extra time to work out what he would do with the dammed thing when they got to camp.

arizhel felt outnumbered so she put the tricorder away for later then she grabed her bags and put both of them on her back then bend down and picked up her capture and carryed it on her sholder
