Kyle Greggs (AWOL)
As far as Kyle remembers, he was in an adoption agency until the age of ten. While escaping the caged life, he ran into a man in the streets with multiple men pointing phasers at him. Kyle attempted to run but tripped over his feet in sheer fear, distracting the men from their potential victim. The man took advantage and took them out, later thanking the kid and taking him back to the orphanage. To Kyle's great surprise, three weeks later the man, Terrence Greggs, adopted him.
Five years later Terrence was killed in the midst of a Special Ops mission. Kyle then motivated himself to joining the Academy and working his way out of the Academy by 18, and being assigned to Special Ops by twenty, working directly under Commander Dereck Carver. Two years in working in Ops, he found himself on a mission reassigned to the Academy as an Intel Officer, under the name, Garret Fowler, looking for information on a leak in the department.
There, he met a bright young student, and despite his Commander's warnings, fell for her. On the brink of her graduation, he proposed to her, ready to tell her everything, but was interuppted by a restricted Comm Link call telling him the time was now to make the move. In the midst of this intense battle occuring between the leak and the Special Ops unit, the woman witnessed Kyle knocked unconcious. One of the Admirals there felt obligated to fill her in, seeing as how she was unfairly involved, revealing Kyle's identity to her. She left without waiting for him to regain conciousness.
Kyle, upon regaining conciousness, chased after her against his Commander's orders. However, half way to finding her, a mission that partially linked to Terrence Gregg's death was brough to his attention by Carver. With great hesitation, he turned back to the Earth Colony to meet up with the rest of the team, and never saw his lover again. Since then, Kyle has been scarred by death's seen, actions of his own that needed to be taken, and the lives he's broken. He's long since shut himself off from his emotions.
