: This is certainly an edict that I never thought I'd be posting, but I think the time has come to make it. First off, allow me to start by saying that this has nothing to do with Andrew's post. :) I was discussing this with Daniel before I even read it. ;) I deeply appreciate those of you who stood up and corrected his assumptions about my involvement in the club. While my presence hasn't been as public as it was for my last two terms, I've tried to stay as involved as possible through e-mail and IM to work out any concerns that club members might have. I thank you all for sticking with me through a very busy real life time for me.

: That said, I think you all can tell where this is leading. :) I've spent the past few days discussing the topic of me standing down with Daniel. While he's been happy to help me out as much as possible, I don't believe that it's fair to the club for me to not be the same president that I was for the past two terms. Changing real life circumstances (ones that I was not aware of when I ran for my third term) have made that impossible. I dearly love STF and the people in it, which makes this very difficult for me to do. Effective immediately, I hereby resign as President of Star-fleet and I appoint Daniel Lerner as President. Additionally, I resign as CO of the USS Atlantis.

: Arrangements will be made to make sure that the results of the STF Survey are in good hands so that they can be reviewed. Additionally, I'd like to make a parting request that WeBBSpace be thoroughly reviewed to determine its acceptance among the member base. It's been two months now, so I think that's more than enough time for everyone to have given it a fair shot and be ready to give some feedback. :)

: Finally, I'd like to thank the people who have made this club my home for the past three years (and the number of years before that), but there are so many that this edict would go on forever. I'd like to give special thanks, though, to my cabinets for the past three terms, which have done some amazing work for the club, as well as to my three vice presidents. I couldn't have done anything for the club without you guys.

Ladies and Gentlemen of STF, as many of you are aware or have been aware in the past me and Sarah has never trully seen eye to eye on a lot of issues, but reading this post and looking at STF in teh bigger picture, i know understand what STF meant to Sarah and what Sarah meant to STF, even though i am unsure whether she will read this or not i would like to say from the bottom of my heart i will miss Sarah and due to this may i say.

Sarah i hope you will live long and prosper.
