Star Fleet Career Summary

Background:

Jacen's early childhood was seen as almost a normal life in Dublin Ireland, his mother serving as a Doctor while his father for many years was stationed in the Jupiter Station, which he shared along with his younger brother Steven and older sister Elizabeth. This was until Jacen turned 8, his father got a commission on the USS Burlington, as XO and eventually CO, which uprooted his life and his family to be aboard, his mother serving as a Doctor aboard non Star Fleet.

As time went on both Jacen and his sister enrolled into Star Fleet, her going into Medical, and Jacen into Engineering. Jacen knew at an early age he wanted to learn Engineering due to a love of knowing how everything worked, often taking apart items and putting them back together, most of them time at least. This cause some due distress aboard his father's ship, often times creating mischief.

Despite these tendencies, Jacen grew up with a desire to follow his father's Star Fleet career, and joined his sister the same year she did, she having waited a year to join. The two became very close in the Academy, more so than ever growing up together. After graduation Jacen was offered a chance to join the USS Columbia, one of the Academy ships, he was promoted to Lt (j.g) straight out of the Academy, a rare honor, and giving the duties of Chief Engineer. The hopes were to hone Jacen's skills he found in leadership early on, something that didn't fully latch on until latter in his career.

He was promoted to Chief Engineer after a 3 year stint on the USS Leviathan, since his promotion he has served the ship faithfully as a brilliant, if not eccentric Chief.

Psychology Profile:

Personally, Jacen is carefree at times, contemplative at others. He likes to kid and joke but knows how to keep it professional when needed. On a side note there seems to be a physiological trauma after the Leviathan was attacked and the loss of his sister on board, to CNS keep eye on personality behavior.
