: : : : : Hammond watched the girls leave and the minute the door shut the smile faded from his face. He immediately turned on his heel and walked to the old terminal. He had carefully wiped it before he had left last time, but now he had to set it all up again. He slipped the data crystal into the terminal and waited for his specialised programmes to link back into the software. A myriad of messages cropped up and he frowned. Although he could get a secure and untraceable comm link, for some reason his back door into the security sytem and the cameras wasn't working. Had star-fleet changed things, he wondered idly?
: : : : :
: : : : : He wondered what to do. He would leave the programme running for a few hours, see if it could find a way in, if not then he would have to find another means of getting back in. In the mean time he had another requirement. He keyed up the untraceable comms line and asked for files on the target. He waited while they assembled.

: : : : Hammond had two needs at the moment, information on his target and a way to elminate him. He was waiting for the information which gave him time to think about how to carry out the later. Accident would be preferable, but he would need information on the target's schedule and routine to achieve that. Then there had to be a fall back measure, the more direct approach. He needed a way to deal with him in person. Hammond's mind flickered through possibilities, but it needed to be something discrete. A phaser fight wasn't the way forward and Hammond certainly wasn't the suicidal type. If he had to die, then he had to die, he had no qualms about that....but he wasn't about to throw away his life needlessly.

: : : The message read:
: : : !Target: Valok
: : : !Species: Romulan/Vulcan
: : : !Current location: Outpost 42
: : :
: : : Strangely the message didn't seem to come from his normal source, because his normal source left no traces. This source however had left a sending trace.

: : Hammond looked at this uneasily. Alarm bells were ringing in his head and he wondered why. Anything out of the ordinary was anethma to people like him. He was sensitive to it beyong normal people. An item out of place and his room could have been searched, a casual seeming glance in a crowd could be someone planning to move in for the kill.....this.... He looked at the screen again, this felt sloppy. Now was it an amateur playing games or was it a trap. Hammond looked at the assignment. He didn't click accept or reject. Instead he used his terminal to run two programs. The first a trace on the source. The second for information on the target. He got paid to do people's dirty work, but he didn't have to enjoy being used.

:
: The source could be traced back as far as Romulus. There was no information on Valok available through his usual channels, so either there was none, or it was classified by some authority. Incidentially on his search the boarding list from a recently docked passenger ship popped up. Valok had arrived on the station this day.

Hammond launched a simple query, to find Valok's flight schedule, to find out how long he was going to be on the station for. Was it hours or days? Then he would go out and see if he could get eyes on. If nothing else he needed to find a weapon of some description.
