We are now departing Risa for routine patrol after granting shore leave and time-off for the crew after the last mission, after which many of the crew of the USS Victorious joined the Aztec.

The Ambassador has beamed down. Now begins the real job of securing the space above the planet whilst the serious negotiations go on. I have asked our Chief Medical Officer to try to find ways to help the crew to manage the stress. I have not ordered even a yellow alert but the crew knows that their senses need to be at the level of a red alert.

The Aztec was requested to test a new modification to our warp drives. Halfway during the test, our warp drives experienced something similar to a meltdown. We managed to shut the drives down and found ourselves in a strange place that is filled with dust that is mainly composed of silicon dioxide. We are initiating repairs now but we have not had any breakthrough as to where we are. Now a double murder has just occurred. It never rains, it pours.
