Background: Jay was raised on Aran in Actelion, a city famous for its software development corporations. His father was a Starfleet computer scientist, his mother raised him and his sister. He was (and still is) his sister's best pal...she never saw him as the tag-along other girls would have. Despite this, he often spent time alone, listening to music, reading books (both fiction and non-fiction, largely space adventures and history), and playing computer games. He trained himself to have a good imagination, planning the day when he would attend Starfleet Academy. For his high school years, he was constantly trying to decide what department he'd enter, and finally settled on security because it promised the most action and adventure, despite the mundane nature of most security postings. He was an excellent student in the Academy, even if he was a bit of a goof-off. Now he's ready to begin life on the Endeavor...he excitedly wonders what the stars hold for him.

Skills: A decent shot with a phaser, good analysis of character. Fair pilot, handy with mechanical/electronic devices. Excellent knowledge of old Earth history and culture, especially the Western Hemisphere 1750-2150 Traits: Shy around people, an occasional slight temper, but generally agreeable...has faith in himself and others. Head for trivia, very associative mind. Loves action...the occasional firefight spices things up for him, but a puzzle or other tricky situation will do. Interests: Computers, "modding" electronic devices, history and culture, music (the heavier the better!), adventure stories of all types. Notes: Has an older sister, an engineer on the USS Potomac; the two are very close, and they often converse via subspace voice and text transmission.
