Background: Elizabeth Sarah Rogers was born to Gene and Zara Rogers in Seattle, Washington on Earth. She was the oldest of three children. She had a sister named Jenna and a brother, Brandon. Her father was politician and was rarely ever around. So, she never really developed a strong relationship with him in the beginning. Her mother was a part-time nurse and was around to build a close bond with her daughter. As a young child, she was a tomboy, always getting into scuffles with the boys. She would come home from school with the occasional black eye or large bruise and some reason as to why she “had to fight.” But, she soon grew out of it when the other girls at school began to tease her for her un-girlish appearance and habits. To her it felt worse than the injuries inflicted by the boys. She would begin to wear make-up and worry about fashion to fit in with the other girls. In time, she would be accepted by her peers and become popular. It was a period in her life which she enjoyed but it was also shallow. When Elizabeth reached high school she began to really take an academic focus to her life and, for fun, learned to play parises squares. She became quite interested in engineering and made it her career goal. However, she never intended to join Star-fleet but rather to go into civil work, though her parents had brought it up several times. It was when her best friend informed her that she was applying, that Lizzy seriously considered it. She waited to the last minute to send in her application and they were both accepted. The next few weeks were spent studying preparing for the exam. But, just as the day of the exam approached, her friend was killed suddenly, in a shuttle incident while traveling on vacation. Though it devastated her, she decided that she would go through with their plans in honor of her friend. She passed and was admitted to the Engineering department. The next few years were difficult. She struggled to accept her friend’s death and her grades suffered. It was only after hours of intense counseling that she was able to bring herself out of her depression and improve her grades. She graduated and was immediately given a posting aboard the USS Aztec.

Personality Profile: Elizabeth is an individual with a strong serious personality. Her focus is mainly on her work though see will occasionally allow herself to get distracted. She is easily embarrassed but has developed a good habit of blowing things off most of the time.
