My first mission as Captain of the Brandywine is just starting. We have been ordered to check the statis of several planets including how far they have come since the last survey and how much they have developed culturally, scientifically and religiously etc.
We are currently onroute to the Settron system where our first port of call is located.
On a more personal note Ensign Swan, my wife and a science officer, has just gone into labour and our twins will soon be with us. The crew has some sort of betting pool going on the outcome of the birth but I will deal with them in my own way and in my own time.

Already we are on our second mission after our first mission was scrapped. We received a distress signal from a ship that was supposed MIA 50 years ago. My ship has been blighted with unexplained explosions and other problems, including a lot of DH shuffling, but we have arrived within hailing distance despite all problems.
I am determined to lead an away team to the stranded ship and see what we can discover about its where-abouts these past 50 years and find out what happened to the crew. For all I know, the crew, or their decendants, may even be still alive but due to a communications and sensor malfunction, we have no way of finding out until we get on that ship.
On a personal note, I am a father! The twins, one boy named Mattok and one girl that we have yet to discover a fitting name for, arrived safely and both them and Amy are thriving like true warriors.
