Career notations:
After graduating and being commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant, Dean has proven many times that MACO's are not to be underestimated. Assigned to Search and Rescue, Dean quickly became what was known as a "para-jumper" and was promoted to 1st Lieutenant under command of MACO Search and Rescue (whos responsibility was to go into hostile territory and retrieve downed pilots)
For showing "bravery and courage beyond call" after rescuing a downed civilian frieghter from inside an old minefield of unknown origins, Dean was promoted to Captain and assigned as liason between Starfleet and MACO to aid response times on Search and Rescue.
Sent to Starfleet Academy and graduated within 2 years. Promoted to Major (MACO) and Lieutenant Commander (Starfleet) and being one of the first officers to hold a dual commission. Assigned to Starfleet Security as investigation officer, Internal Affairs.
Taught Survival training at Starfleet Academy base Alpha in the Sahara desert (Earth)
Assigned to S.S Bonventure and assigned as XO at request of Bonventure CO.

Disciplinary Record:
Brought up on Officer Commandings Orders for assaulting a fellow "para-jumper". Charges never formally pressed.
Brought infront of MACO Disciplinary Board for being found in classified area of a military range. Charges dropped as was providing assistance to crew of downed shuttlecraft.

Broken arm in 3 places during off-duty rescue of downed shuttlecraft into restricted military area.
