: : : : Lyria looked at the clock....again. She'd been off duty for 2 hours, 23 minutes and 8 seconds and she wanted to CoMM Bill but she couldn't appear that needy. She'd been on her own for so long and now Bill was there and everything turned upside down. She found herself thinking the most inappropriate thoughts while on duty, she was sure that the guys at the security office were watching her and snickering behind her back. She put them all on mandatory 3 mile runs for the rest of the week.

: : : : She sipped her coffee and looked out the window again, cursing the slowness of time. After about another 10 minutes, her hands balled into fists, she stormed to Bill's quarters and rang the chime.

: : : As it was, Atwood was standing just inside the door frowning down at the reminder note he'd left himself on a table inside the doorway . When the chime rang he jumped at first and then cursed. If it was someone wanting him to initial something he'd dress them down proper . He was off duty for crying out loud! Even a Captain got a chance to rest.
: : : When the door opened and he saw Lyria standing there he just stood dumbfounded for a moment. His day had been hectic to say the least. Still through all the stress and aggravation ,thoughts of Lyria kept creeping into his mind. Her eyes , the smell of her hair as they held one another close. He reached out and pulled her into the quarters. "God I hope this isn't official business!" he said as he pulled her to him and kissed her longingly. Finally breaking the kiss he kept her close and looking into those eyes of hers that seemed to transfix him he asked ,"It isn't official is it?"

: : "Hell no" she said and kissed him again. Her body, which had been tense up until he'd opened the door, melted against his. She had thought up numerous reasons for going to see him but once their lips touched her mind completely blanked. Her fingers threaded into his hair and she kissed him hungrily.

: Not breaking the kiss until he found it necessary to breath in order to sustain life Bill held Lyria close as he breathed hard. "I've been thinking about you all day ." he whispered .
: Taking her hand he led her across the cabin to a table where he usually ate. It was a small table with several chairs . But it was the view Bill liked. he had a nice view of space from this section of his living quarters . The viewport was nearly floor to ceiling. Still holding her hand as they stopped by the table he kissed the back of it and asked,"Can I get you anything? "

"Funny, I've haven't thought of you at all..." she said with as straight a face as she could muster but it was broken in seconds by laughter. "Got'cha" she said teasingly. She was relaxed more than she had been since...well since she got up this morning. She let him lead her to the window and blushed when he kissed her hand. "I would love some coffee" she responded, opting for a politically correct answer, though telling him she wanted him out of his clothing had occurred to her as an acceptable answer, she wanted him to be sure that it was more than his body that she wanted.

She turned and looked out the window into the vastness of space. "Bill....I want to know you..." she said softly.
