Bio:

Kotra Derth was born in the farmlands of Dahkur Province. He grew up on a small farm under the care of relatives.while his parents fought in the Bajoran resistance. During the occupation, he was able to get a good education and eventually qualified as a lawyer clandestinely. Following the end of the occupation he began working on gathering evidence against Cardassian War Criminals. When the Dominion War was looming, he decided to enter Starfleet to help protect Bajor. Due to a shortage of crew, he was commissioned as a security ensign where he saw action in the Battle of Chin'toka. He was rapidly promoted to Lt JG. Shortly after, he was transferred to the Iwo Jima where he was promoted to Lt.

Following the end of the war, many ships were decommissioned and he decided to go back to law. He applied to be join the JAG and was made one of the defence lawyers of the Founder. After the trial he was made Lt Cmdr and became Chief Investigate of war crimes by the Cardassians. After a few years he began to feel jaded and applied for a space commission where upon he was made XO on the USS Resolution.
