Distinguishing Marks:

Natalie bears large scars on her left arm, abdomen and chest from the bear attack when she was a child. Her left arm is prosthetic from the elbow down, it is flawlessly attached and easily removed for maintenance. Natalie has a small teddy bear tattoo on her lower back.

Personality:

Natalie is driven. Natalie has a need to prove herself worthy of being in Star Fleet even though the loss of her arm does not hinder her ability to perform her duties. This is a psychological disability. While driven, Natalie does know how to have fun and likes to entertain. Natalie is shy but friendly once you get to know her.

Psychological Profile:

Natalie is as sane as the next person. Natalie still has the occasional nightmare about the attack when she was a child. Natalie rarely discusses "the incident" unlessed pressed about it.

Background:

Natalie grew up in the shadow of Yellowstone National Park. Natalie spent her summers working with her dad in the park doing various odd projects. Natalie developed a healthy respect of the wildlife after a bear attack at the age of six. Natalie had wandered into the park and got too close to a Grizzly bear cub. Mamma bear attacked Natalie causing severe damage to her left arm resulting in it having to be amputated at the elbow.

Natalie was fitted with a prothstetic arm, at the time of the incident, prothstetics had advanced enough that the arm was fully functional and appeared to be natural. The only time that Natalie experienced issues was when the microprocessor would malfunction and cause pain. When this happened, Natalie would go see the biotechnical engineer. Natalie was fascinated by the work that he did and this only increased her interest in engineering.

In school, Natalie took as many engineering and technical classes as she could. When Natalie graduated from high school, she attended the University of Montana and studied physics and engineering. While in college, Natalie also develeoped a taste for travel and upon graduation decided to join Star Fleet to satisfy the wanderlust.
