The Ancients are a powerful alien race from the Andromeda galaxy. Past events that have included the Ancients are as follows.

Rogue 31's Destiny: The Europa assigned by 'starfleet intelligence' (OOC: Section 31 but thats not known yet) were sent on a secret mission into Flea'tan space to stop a prototype rogue trio of intel agents who had each lost their families two years ago to a orion pirate raid. Each were haunted by nightmares, visions, and dreams of their families urging them to steal the ship and use its powerful chroniton torpedoes, interphase cloak (that cloak you see the ent-d use from the Prometheus episode) and ability to fire torpedoes while cloaked to attack a series of Flea'tan colonies to destroy the newly formed relationship between the insectoid species

During the mission the crew learned that Ancient forces from the future were using a tight beam transmission to mentally brain wash and control the agents after a series of tests they were able to find a counter agent to this and block the beam late into the hunt. However, by then the damages had been done and the rogue agents were set on their course of destruction, after an intense cat and mouse game in a comet ort cloud near one of the Flea'tan colonies the Europa disabled the rogue agents and stealth frigate, but not before they launched three chroniton torpedoes intent on traveling back in time to stop their families from being killed. Again though this was a ruse by the Ancients. The badly damaged Europa destroyed two of the torpedoes via phaser fire but had to ram the last torpedo with no choice left to them to save the colony

Past Endeavors: Following their ramming of the chroniton torpedo the Europa was tossed back in time to Earth in 1492 days before Christopher Columbus discovered the 'new world'. The crew were able to effect repairs and landed the ship in an empty area of Florida to effect more intense repairs, during this time a chroniton field emerged and a vessel ID'd as a Ancient vessel again from the future by readings appeared.

During this time Cassidy (NE of a player) a scientist on the Europa was jumped in the science lab by an unknown alien later ID'd as a Ancient face hugger. It merged its body to hers through the use of tendrils of her ears and neck investigations on watching the Ancient ship showed later on an Away team similar events happening on the sailing vessels with the intent of controlling key figures in the past.

During this it was discovered the Ancients blame the Federation for 'destruction' and 'liars' among other terms of hatred and distrust for some long past deed of contact. In an attempt to contact the Ancient face huger a Romulan crew member attempted and ad hoc Vulcan mind meld seeing images of Ancients and another species only known at present as 'The Elder' as well as images of the USS Merrimack in the past over 300 million years ago though the exact details of what happened or occurred and how this happened are unknown at this stage.

Examination of the Ancient face huger revealed it had properties similar to species 8472 as well as a highly developed immune and nervous system as well as advanced means of bonding like a parasite to a host to share or extract memories. Talks revealed that this alien was gathering information for 'a war' against the Federation for the Ancients.

During the end of the mission a Federation time ship arrived to help combat the Ancient vessel and as before the Europa was required to ram itself into the Ancient vessel. With some taunting by Q the crew miraculously survived and the ship arrived seconds after its first ramming of the chroniton torpedo.

In total it is clear from mission briefs that due to some encounter by the USS Merrimack the Ancients have a hatred for the Federation and a great distrust in any communications as well. Their goals are clear to start a war between the Federation and Flea'tan Alliance and anyone else that gets in their way. With their advanced technology and time travel abilities they are a truly dangerous foe
