: : : Alex put whatever personal issues he was facing in a compartment of his mind far away from the moment at hand, far away from the mission. He refused to let it effect him, or get him off his game. Those things would have to be dealt with and resolved, but he allowed them to crop up now they could jeopradize the lives of those under his charge and he could not allow that to happen.

: : : He straightened his uniform jacket and with PAdD in hand rang the chime, precisely two minutes before the Captain had requested.

: : Mona sat at her desk with several PaDDs in front of her. She had reports from all the departments on their current status regarding the mission and she was ready to talk about it with her XO she was glad when the chime announced him. Being prompt was something she was beginning to depend on from him along with other things she was learning about him. She felt that the two of them would work well together for a long time. "Come!" she called. Then stood and picked up her empty cup to return it to the replicator.

: : As Rivers entered the ready room she asked, "I am having some tea would you care for something?" She set her cup into the recycle area of the replicator and looked up at her XO.

: "Yes thank you Captain. Cinamon tea please. How are you today sir?" Alex asked her. He still felt a little out of place in his position, one heartbeat away as the saying went, but he was growing more confident everyday. He just hoped that he would never have to become a Captain. It was one role he had no desire for.

She spoke to the replicator "Cinnamon Tea, hot and Chai Tea on ice." She waited for the two drinks to appear and then took them to the desk and set them on the desk in front of Rivers before walking to the other side of the desk and sitting in her chair. "I am feeling excellent today. Just excellent." Mona felt very relaxed still from her recent mini-vacation and was in the mood to sit and read a good book but she still needed to get this away team set. "How are things going for you and Ensign Rivers?"
