: : The scientist spun, holding the phaser and looking startled by the CO's presence. "Not sure, I can strangely hear sounds below me. Makes me wonder if whomever it is making intentional noise on the ceiling of the jeffries tubes, because I'm not sure how we'd be hearing sounds through the deck otherwise, given their thickness. Maybe it was the dimmer alert lighting and the fact that she had been on her own, but the fact that the CO thought of a silly tricorder before she did made Faye want to bang her head on a wall. She clutched the spare phaser tightly, as if expecting something to jump out at them.

: The tricorder did not register anyone in the jeffries below. However, the both of them heard a loud ripping sound. From the tricorder reading, it came from sickbay.

Faye's grey-green eyes narrowed and her grip on the phaser tightened ever so slightly. "Shall we go investigate Captain?" she asked, trying not to feel so damn paranoid.
