: : : : : : : It was the day after she had meet Ellie in Sickbay and saw Paul sleeping on the floor beside her bed. She touched her comm badge =^=Lt Bartram, please come by my office as soon as you can.=^= She said as she looked over his file and Ellie's file. They seemed like a very mis matched couple, but they had made it work and now she needed to make sure that they were all on the same page to getting Ellie back on her feet.

: : : : : : after a little bit Paul arivved outside the Door to the counselors Office, he sighed again before straightening his uniform and pressing the doors chime.

: : : : : Brook looked up "Enter." She called out having made a fresh pot of coffee "Lt Bartram. Thank you for coming, please have a seat. Would you like a cup of coffee?" She asked pouring herself a cup.

: : : : : "I wanted to talk to you about how you're doing, how you're handling the stress of your wife's injury." She said getting straight to the point of the meeting. She waited to see what he had to say.

: : : : Paul let out a small sigh "How am I spose to be handling it?" he asked

: : : "I'm not telling you there is a right or wrong way to handle it." Brook said calmly "I am curious as to how you are handling it personally. I know that you are very close to your wife and you rely on her a great deal. How has her not being around affected you? Are you able to carry out your duties or are you distracted from them?" She asked "How is your daughter doing?"

: : "Well It's hard" he said sitting down "I'm lost I've never done the Family thing alone before" he added "Amy is fine by The way or if she's not the Holo-nanny isn't telling me"

: Brook nodded "Being a single parent is difficult. How do you think Ellie's not being able to walk is going to affect your relationship?" She asked "Do you see it affecting her job? or your feelings about her?"

"What? you think a little thing like this is gonna change how I Feel about her?" he said sounding more then a little defensive at the suggestion that he'd feel differently about his wife. "And I'm not sure" he added a small frown on his face "She seems to be taking it hard, I just want the old Ellie back, walking or not I want my wife back"
