: : : : : : "Funny, I was sort of thinking it worked that way on the Op. You came to mind and then… you passed by me," she said sleepily as she started to drift off. She couldn't even open her lids they felt so heavy.

: : : : : "We seem to just be drawn to each other I guess." he said, leaning down to kiss her cheek as she laid there.

: : : : She only half heard his response and barely registered the kiss as she actually dozed off. Tohala had been keeping pace fairly well so far and was pretty sure no one who didn't already know hadn't a clue about what was up with her, but this whole thing was exhausting, both physically and mentally. This time, the symptoms won.

: : : It was in this time that a new symptom appeared rather intensely: vivid dreaming. Tohala dreamt and sometimes recalled them, but they were usually of no consequence. This time though, the images whirled through her unconscious mind like a tornado, as if her pieces of her memories were being plucked out of the whole and tossed at her. It was too much!

: : : Twenty minutes after drifting off, she let out a startled gasp and her eyes flew open. She sat up abruptly, and realized that she was still on the sofa with Nick. She looked confused and rather shaken as she rubbed her face. "Ugghh. Great, now I can't sleep…" she muttered.

: : "What now hon? I was rather enjoying watching your beautiful self dreaming, was soothing." he said as he leaned in kissing her cheek.

: Tohala frowned and brushed loose strands of her coarse black hair out of her face. She had tensed as he kissed her but it wasn't him, she was just a little shaken. "Yeah, well, my dreams weren't so soothing," she said dryly, trying to keep her voice even.

"Talk to me love, what's on your mind precious?" he asked her, his eyes showing he was here with her, no matter what.
