One of the technicians had reported that the organic substance was some kind of fur, that had recently been through a transporter. Ketchum acknowledged the report, but no one on the ground team seemed to understand how it played into all of this.

"If had gone through a transporter recently.. then you would have thought that there would be something else there.. not just the fur.. " he finished thinking outloud. A transporter beam would have severed all the blood connections to the skin that was underneith the fur. It might have left a residual DNA trace however and that would be logged somewhere in the tricorder readings that had been taken of it. "Chuck me your tricorder a moment.. " he said to Ketchum

: : : : : : : : : In the data there was a little piece of DNA that indicated the fur had formerly been attached possibly to a tribble, but there were abnormalities in the readings that didn't make sense. There were many things not adding up with this situation.

While their legendarily voracious appetites made them an obvious element in retrospect, he was still rather surprised to hear about their presence.

"There are two possibilities I can theorize. One would be using a cloaked shuttlecraft, or if I wanted to be more discreet, I'd use a nearby cave, or dense thicket, then transport it from there, to a final destination," Am'tra offered.
