: : : : Niles had been feeling rather bored. it'd been about a week, he supposed, since mission had ended. He felt starkly aware that he hadn't acquainted himself with the crew, something a Captain really should do. Klinger rose up from his desk, took a shower, shaved, and put on a set of casuals, he didn't want to wear his suit.

: : : : Six Forward was quite lovely. Two stories, a spiral staircase connected to a balcony, and a bunch of replicators. He went up to one, "Champagne please." The machine complied, a crystal glass filled with the yellowy liquid appeared. He picked it up between his fingers and took a sip.

: : : : "Delicious."
: : : :
: : : : Niles climbed the staircase, leaning onto the balcony, the glass hanging over the edge. Six Forward was depressingly empty, not a soul around. Unusual, since it was prime time for a party. What a wonderful thought indeed.

: : : : Klinger spoke up, "GORBI? Good evening, would you kindly inform the crew that we have a party going on? Thank you."

: : : : Niles walked to a control panel, flicking a few switches. The lights dimmed just slightly, and the stage lit up with a holographic orchestra, playing some various musical songs, at the moment they were on Big Band things, he wondered what would be up next.

: : : : About five minutes later, the room was occupied by some officers, Klinger waited for some others, before he made his announcement.

: : : McCandless got the message 5 minutes later. He was in his quaters playing the bagpipes. He put them down and changed into some smart jeans and a blue shirt. He then made his way to six forward.

: : : When he got there he spied the Captain, he hadn't really spoken to the Captain at all since his take over during the mission and he wanted to get to know him better.
: : : "Hey Captain, what a nice surprise this is." He stated jovially and with a smile.

: : : McCandless (XO)

: "Hello Mr. McCandless," Klinger said, "yes, I thought the crew deserved a 'night out' you might say. It came to my attention that I've done a rather poor job of introducing myself, thought I might make an actual attempt at a social life this time around."

: : Elias had been sitting in his quarters reading a novel when he recieved a message from the about a party in Six Forward so he stood up and changed into some smart dark jeans and and a bright blue tunic. Then he headed down to Sic Forward when he entered he spotted the Captain and XO and walked over to the them and said "Good Evening Captain, Commander"

: Klinger blinked, then took a look at his drink, "I'm fairly certain I've not had enough to sway my eyesight, so I guess you two actually do match."
: Niles sat the Champagne down in favor of a Guinness beer.
: "Good evening indeed, Mr. Vass, how have you been faring?"

: The band had moved away from the Big Band era of the 1920s, and now seemed to be moving upwards of the 2100s, doing some rather decent techno-jazz.

Cara walked into Six Forward and took in the surroundings. She was still not extremely comfortable with being in social settings but she was getting better. She was trying to embrace her human side more. She walked over to one of the replicators and ordered a glass of Vulcan wine and turned to see who else had arrived.
