"Umm, uh, yeah, fine," Faye said warily, eying the hand distrustingly. She might be human but she had never been a hand shaker. Usually that sort of thing got you killed.

: : : : : : : : : Magnus Walked near them and placed a hand on the nameless mans shoulder and casually gave Faye some breathing room, he then gave her a friendly smile "rule 26 gentlemen, personal breathing space is key, respect it" he gave her room to manover. To Calloway he would look surprisingly familiar, his face and Scandinavian accent.

Faye wasn't an idiot, she knew who the XO was, though she hadn't spoken to him before. Really she just wanted to stay under the radar, but clearly that wouldn't going to happen on this ship. But he eyed her in a way that made her nervous. Surely he knew about her then. Was it a problem?

: : : : : : : : Instinct kicked in for the man who could not remember his name, the moment the hand was laid on his shoulder. He did not hear the words the other man spoke and his uniform and the rank pips on it meant nothing to him.

She said attempting to break the joint lock "Let go, so I don't have to take you down." She said locking eyes with Ensign Winters.

: : Magnus nodded "I've had worse" he smiled "Besides, if I thought you were a threat I'd have taken you down" he said to the Nameless man with a cocky grin, it was half a joke and most everyone knew that.

OOC: I'm not sure myself, but either way, he would have met Faye already. If that's who you're referring to in your post.

: : : : IC: Daniel had finally made his way to the observation lounge. He was still in the process of attempting to figure out who this man was. So far, he had found nothing. After a while, one of his subordinates reminded him to make at least a visit to the observation lounge.

: : : : He entered the place, only to find a scene already underway with the new guy aboard. He sighed and said to himself at the doorway, "Bad timing I guess." He turned to leave, hoping to possibly come back again. As he turned however, something caught his eye for an instant. He was not one to easily forget faces, and this one stuck out to him like no other. Had he caught her gaze as well?

For her part, Faye had sort of freaked out given the close proximity of all the people around her to begin with. Self-preservation kicked in and she got the heck out of there, blazing past Daniel and bumping his arm in the process. She didn't stop though, barely aware of anything other than the need to get out of there quickly and find refuge in the corridor.
