: : "Me first Captain," Faye told Mallory firmly. Cavenaugh might have been a Marine but Faye was more dispensable. It was only right. Besides, Faye had been a Maquis. If there was anyone who knew how to survive in odd and difficult situations, it's was Faye.

: Mallory hesitated "If you insist. I'm right behind you." She said stepping aside to let Faye enter the hole first. She trusted Faye's instincts as a Maquis. She held her phaser steady and watched the room and then focused her attention on the hole and catching the intruders that were on her ship.

Faye entered and felt oddly calm. It kind of felt good to be in a sticky situation again. She moved far enough in to allow the Captain room to enter. Her hand gripped her phaser as she climbed down. She was alert to anyone around her as well and didn't intend to be snuck up on as she checked out the layout of the access tube and which way it went.
