: : : Nerissa followed closely behind the doctor before taking a seat on the designated biobed. The first question did not surprise her at all. A joined Trill's physiology was different than that of a Trill who had not been joined.

: Nerissa thought for a moment, then decided that the social issues the unexpected joining had caused her were not medically pertinent.
