: : : : : An returned with the canteens of water and led the way across the fields toward the caves. The closer the team got to the caves the more noticeable the damage to the crops was. An stopped at the very edge and looked around "It's even worse than it was yesterday." He said walking over to some of the now bare stalks.

: : : : : Next to Dr. Black, a loud purr could be heard followed by smaller purrs and chirps. Scans would show creatures about 5' away from where they were now standing, but the noises were getting louder. The group is still about 1/4 mile from the caves.

: Am'tra whirled about at the frantic cries and leveled his phaser. Seconds later, he fired at the offending creature. "Where did that come from?" he asked, ready to fire again.

As the creature fell away another one took its place. They were multiplying faster than it could be imagined. Am'tra found herself quickly surrounded by the vicious tribbles.
