: : : : : : : : : : : : The shuttle lifted off and she laid in a course for the island on the planet. She had no idea who the Ensign was, science or medical. Either would be helpful right now. She looked over at the COS, her co-pilot. "Updated atmospheric readings please." She requested kindly as they appeared to float towards the planet.

: : : : : : : : : : : : Lewis, CE
: : : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : : While the COS was getting her that information the shuttle regally lifted out of the shuttlebay and once far enough from the ship moved up to half impulse as it sped toward the planet. Entering the planet's atmosphere was a trip of beauty. Do to some trick of the atmosphere, magnetism, radiation and moisture the clouds were colorscape of glory to behold once they had entered them. It was like flying among rainbows. Something that none of them had ever seen before.
: : : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : : The only drawback though, that became readily apparent once they had entered the atmosphere, was the loss of their electrical equipment. They were going to have to fly manually both sightwise and in steering the shuttle. The computer system on board fluttered in and out.
: : : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : : GM Nosferatu
: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : Toren smiled and looked out the window "It's...wet...and hard to see" He smiled "Computers are out, we're flying blind" he said calmly, despite the apparently dangerous situation.
: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : Lt.jg Nalar, COS
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Sam about rolled her eyes out of her head. "Really?! What idiot did the planet analysis! 'Electrical disturbances' would have been nice to know ahead of time!" She yelled at her computer, which was really her only way to steer.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : "Rivers! Get me power, fast! We're a falling brick and *not* mutually buoyant!" Meaning that they were about to crash and sink. At least she had already fixed the structural integrity and O2 systems so they would just sit on the bottom of the planet... assuming there was a bottom... until they could be rescued.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : "Nalar, any signs of that island?" She looked out her windows, wishing she had more time to be impressed by the color collage, but really more concerned with not dying right now. She pressed her buttons as best she could during the spurts of power, hoping to at least maintain altitude and power until they could find the island.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : "And, um... Ensign!" They hadn't bothered with introductions, and now she didn't know his name. "Altimeter readings please. I don't know how without power, maybe your tricorder works? Time to impact will be nice to know though."
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : =^= Shuttle craft 1 to Olympic. Mayday mayday mayday. We are experiencing power disturbances that render navigation useless. Do not send any more shuttles until this is resolved. =^= She doubted their electronic communications would work, but it was worth a try.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Damnit.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Lewis, CE
: : : : : :
: : : : : : Communications with the Olympic beeped and it appeared to have gotten through fine.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : GM Nosferatu
: : : : :
: : : : : : TJ got up from his seat and grabbed his tools. He had brought two sets. One for the technical stuff, one for the ship building. He moved to the nearest access panel. He noted that power flow was fine. "You should have plenty of power ma'am." He was still uneasy about calling her by name. It seemed to personal. Besides being personal was part of the reason he was here.
: : : : :
: : : : : : TJ-eng
: : : : :
: : : : : Well, that was good news. "Alright then, run diagnostics and figure out how to fix my little steering issue up here..." As she said the words she knew that was really too much to ask of him... be a scientist and an engineer and fast! She shook her head at herself... "Sorry. I have to concentrate on piloting this thing, so let's start with the diagnostic." That was more realistic.
: : : : :
: : : : : As she spoke, she did indeed concentrate on piloting the shuttle, which took a lot more concentration than normal since the specific computer system that usually navigates the shuttle was not working. They had been on course for the island, so she strained to try and find it so they could land.

: : : : Jehry stood and moved to join the engineer. Being a joined Trill and his last host was a chief engineer, he left like he could be useful. "How can I help you?"
: : : :
: : : : Jehry Science.
: : :
: : : TJ didn't know the man. But perhaps he knew something he didn't. That was hightly unlikely, but it could happen. "Know anything about rebooting these blasted thing?"he asked.
: :
: : Toren smiled, the emotions flying around the small shuttle were intense, fear, determination, regret, he smiled despite the danger, striking a strange contrast to the scared and determined looks of his crewmates.
: :
: : He looked to the pilot "Since we can't steer...and gravity is such a convenient source of downward thrust, why not just let us fall out of the storm and hope the controls kick back in when we're on the other side? Of course...if they don't will be smashed to pieces, but hey, fortune favours the bold"
: :
: : Lt.jg Nalar, COS
:
: "Wish I knew where that island was... I'd be a lot more willing to give it a try if I had something to aim for..." She replied.
:
: Lewis, CE

Jehry checked the controls they where similar to him. "Yeah, Give me a second." Jehry pulled out his tricorder to his surprise the unit worked to a range. He manipulated the controls of shuttle and the Tricorder. After a few moments the computer responded. "The engines are resetting, you should have back on in a few seconds, I'm directing reserve power to the sensors. The science department didn't know about the effects of the clouds." Jehry said the last part to one in particular.

Sax, Science.
