: : The server came back with her juice and set it in front of her. "Obrigado," she said in her native tongue, thanking the man. "And a guava juice for this man here. He needs to expand his horizons," she said, her gunmetal blue eyes full of mirth.

: Joe finished the rest of his juice and setting the glass down on the bar , rested his cheek against the palm of his hand as he turned toward Carmen. Chuckling a bit he said ,"I think I got my horizons broadened when I met you.

"Oh, likely," Carmen replied with a knowing smile before she sipped her juice. "Call it a gift."

: Looking at the juice dubiously as it was set in front of him Joe shook his head as he raised it up in the air and tried to peer into it. "My grandpa used to say that a mans insides was like sensitive plumbing . Anything besides whiskey, potatoes or sausage went there you'd have to wind up cleaning it out with whiskey. "
: Lifting the glass in a salute then he said ,"Up to the lips and over the gums , look out stomach here it comes!"

"Millions of people drink it Joe, it's safe, trust me," she said with a chuckle. Her own juice was mingled with pineapple and all she needed was a good splash of rum or cachaça and it'd be a lovely cocktail.

Carmen turned on her barstool and crossed her long legs, gazing at him thoughtfully. "So, what made you wander in here?"
