: : : "It is quite possible that the Breen has re-modified their energy damping weapon to become effective again." He turned to Sept. "Research in a quick engineering adjustment to counter it would be prudent."

: : Lewis looked at Sept and nodded. That was very prudent indeed. She expected that he would get on that.

"Engineering will do what it can to prepare countermeasures for Breen weaponry, without the weapon frequency and phase, however, I cannot say with certainty that they're weapons will be ineffective."

: : : : : Kai simply nodded, she would be taking more walks around the ship than normal, watching for signs of stress due to the unknown nature of what their mission was.

: : : : "Alright, well, that's all I've got for now. Get your departments battle ready. Counselor, a word with you in my ready room please. Dismissed." She nodded to her senior staff.

: : : : As they stood up to leave, she locked eyes with Marius. "Lt. Marius, stay behind please."

: : : Marius hadn't made an effort to rise from his seat. It was his intention to speak to the captain following the briefing anyways. "Sir."

: Hadrian had questions, but none that he felt comfortable asking at this time, and none that would jeopardize the ship at this moment. He wasn’t up to date on the Breen race, their practices and tactics, nor the equipment or weapons they used. But the main question that he felt a little embarrassed with was how to prepare the science department to be battle ready. We needed specific information and variables to work with, or else it was all theoretical debates and hypotheses. Maybe he could get an audience with the captain or Lieutenant Marius at a later date to ensure he wasn’t missing anything so early in his appointment.

: With the captain dismissing them, Hadrian hesitantly got up from the table and nodded his acknowledgement. He then left the conference room to brush up on his duties to the department and to the ship.

Sept rose and inclined his head towards the captain before leaving. He had several things taking priority over any additional modifications to the ship. By shifting around the assignments, he might be able to complete them all before they arrived wherever it was they were going. The android moved through the bridge and into the turbo lift heading towards Engineering.

: : Once everyone left, Lewis remained seated, and looked at Marius for a moment. "Alright Lieutenant, let's have it." She wanted to know what had been up with his attitude earlier. Obviously there was something he was holding back, and if he was going to be XO she needed all of that out of the way.
