: : : : Rhynia stepped into the shuttlebay, the Captain was presently out of commission with the Tarkalian Flu. He would be fine in a few days, but under order of the CMO, he was off duty until then. Rhynia was fine with stepping up and being acting CO until he was better. He was still able to consult on issues anyway, but needed to remain in isolation until the virus was gone.

The Captain apologizes for not being here to greet you himself, he is in isolation for a day or two due to a virus. I am Commander Asani Rhynia, first officer," she nodded toward the aCOS, "And this is Lieutenant Tohala Kor, our Chief of Security."

: : : Kor nodded to Asani. "Commander," she greeted and then looked to the Admiral. "Admiral Oaks," she greeted, keeping her place at the door at attention with her hands behind her back.

: : Admiral Oak beamed at them both and, much to the horror of Jones, lifted his walking stick in the air and rushed towards them, as much as an 80 year old man can rush. Jones cried out in panic as the old man ran down the ramp. He sighed in satsifaction.
: : "Ahh, thank you very much, that's better. I'm sorry about barging in on you all I had wanted to see the Captain but that'll have to wait it seems.
: : "Oh I do apologise, Admiral Oak at your service." He said with a beam, apparently he wasn't aware that they knew his name.
: : "And this young fellow behind me panicing is my Servant...I mean Adjutant Lieutenant Jones. Jones!.....Jones!" The last part was to Jones.
: : "Come here man, an introduce yourself." Jones obliged, he shuffled forward unenthusiastically, he hated being Admiral Oak's adjutant and it showed. Though he brightened up when he saw the aCOS.
: : "Only acting? Are you sure the Admiral will be well looked after?" He asked. Admiral Oak turned to face him.
: : "Now, now Jones that's not how you talk to our hosts."
: : "Sorry about him, he's a little cranky." He stated.

: Kor's eyebrows raised against the leaf-shaped forehead ridge. "I've been in Starfleet for 12 years. I think I can manage," the Napean replied dryly to Jones. Not that she expected the adjutant to have access to her more classified personnel record to know that, but babysitting the Admiral and his assistant wasn't exactly the most dangerous assignment she'd ever had.

"He's just concerned for your well being, an admirable quality," Rhynia spoke to the Admiral, "I assure you this ship is safe. I'm a former Intelligence officer, very little sneaks by me. Admiral, if you like I would be happy to provide you a tour of the ship or we can go and have a meeting in the briefing room. I haven't specifically requested that the department heads assemble, but I can have them put together for a meeting in fifteen minutes at the most."
