: Adam had sat and watched the by play, one did not need to be a mathematical genius to add 1 plus 1 to get 4, and see what was going on. "The Orion Syndicate will be expecting who they expect. Are we certain that this conference room is secure, perhaps I should step out to Sit-Com for a moment and run a scan, then disperse a few extra tachyons to muddle signal scanning." Adam rose from the seat and headed for the door, he had not asked for permission, but was trying to give the two a chance to talk in private before he returned. Even though he could do all that from here.

"Good idea Lieutenant," Carmen replied simply and waited till Adam left. Smart guy. Carmen was really starting to like the android.
They were alone. Carmen got up and moved over to sit in the seat next to Joe. She turned herself to face him and quietly looked him over with her blue eyes. "JI've never been scared to go on an op ever in my life. Does make you feel better to know that I am? I never had anything to really lose before, and even when I did, I lost it and it broke me. There are things you don't know about me, about my time in Intel. I want to tell you, but it can't happen here obviously. But for now I made a promise to Narima that I would help her. You were there when I made it. I never back down from my promises Joe." She wasn't angry at him at all for wanting to take her out of the picture and out of danger. It was sweet and she loved him all the more for it.
