Your...antics are on file you know?" he said hoping that HJ would get the message.

: : : : The door bell chimed to the Captain's cabin. Someone was waiting outside

: : : "Zank you for dropping by Ensign. You're dismissed." the CO told HJ. He then announced "Enter."

: : Dean McCarthy was a striking officer. The Russian in him had given him good cheekbones and general good looks. His hair was kept short, in a military style "buzzcut" and was about the only thing that was still "military" about him. The only other thing was his eyes, they still looked for the threats and looked on the genetically-superiour prepheral vision. They showed warmth, but warmth could be lost so easily. The XO took in a step and brought himself to attention.

: The CO was of average height, muscular, and generally good looking. Strong jaw, dark blue eyes and clean shaven. His hair was trim and greying but he held it with dignity. He had an air of confidence but also slight disappointment because he was away from his family for the first time since his eldest child was born. On his desk, to the COs right, Dean's left, was a picture showing a woman in her late 30s. She had dark brown shoulder length hair and a smile with lips to die for. Her eyes had a sense of accomplishment and belied a hidden feeling of pride. On the shelves were some books, mainly French but a copy of On War in German and a few English books at the end of the shelf was a brand new edition of the Starfleet Regulations and the United Earth constitution. Eric-Jacques stood up and offered his hand.
