: : : : : : : : : From a quiet corner seat, looking out into space, Dr. Lis realized the lounge had become less desolate. He had been quite engrossed in the plate of human comfort food before him. He now turned his attention to the gathering at the bar.

: : : : : : : Micah wanted to be alone but not 'alone' so the lounge seemed to be the perfect answer. When she entered there were more people than she'd expected. As she moved to the bar and got a glass of white wine, she spotted Dr Lis at one of the tables. Knowing how counselor's were not sought out for company usually, she made her way over to him. "Mind if I sit?"

: : : : : : "Why Counsellor, you are always welcome at my table." He motioned for her to sit. "Though I must warn you, I might not be the best of company while I am finishing this meat loaf dinner. I'm beginning to think that dour mood of Cardassians would be alleviated if we were introduced to these foods."

: : : : : : "Oh, and I see we have another new crew member." He motioned to lieutenant Fahr

: : : As she seated herself, Micah looked over her shoulder to where he pointed. "It seems there is always someone new on board." She turned to face the Cardassian. "I haven't seen you for several days, Dr. How have you been?"

: : "Yes, I have been keeping to myself a bit more than usual. It just didn't seem like there was anything for me to do and I was just in... that kind of mood. Have I missed anything?"

: : It was obvious there was something bothering the doctor. As a counselor he would know the benefit of talking about it, but he was also a Cardassian, and they never talked about such things.

: Micah shrugged. "Not that I know of. Things on the ship appear to be pretty standard at the moment. I thought you were going to spend some time in my office with crew?" Come to think of it, Alex's daughter was supposed to be her assistant too.

"Yes, I have been remiss in those duties, just taking care of some odds and ends. Consider me at your disposal."

He smiled, but there was something behind it... worry? Fear? He'd never admit to either.
