She said "I love teaching people new things and I love horses and horse back riding." She said "Maybe teaching horseback riding." She said with a laugh "It would have to do with something constructive and interactive and most importantly challenging." She said as she took a drink from her glass.

: : : : : : : : "You would get along so well with my dad." Josh answered before swilling back some Iced tea from a container. "He loves horses and horseback riding. Taught my sisters and I at a younge age how to ride. He has a hobby farm back on Mars that he rarily gets to visit."

: : : : : : : : "Me? I would most likely be a business man of sorts. I used to dabble a bit in stocks and other investments back on the Starbase. I enjoyed it, I never got rich but it sure did good when I made a decision that paid off." He answered honestly. "OED V would be a prime place to start investing. If I ever get discharged that is."

: : : : : : Josh smiled and shook his head. "I am afraid there is no date for me getting out of the Marines. I come from a Marine career family. My father is a Major General. My older sister Erica is a Major and my younger sister Macie is a Second Lieutenant. We Thompsons tend to stick around in service for a long time. I expect at least one of my children to follow suit. I always thought that would be Jacob, but he has been so troubled lately and I feel helpless."

: : : : : Tyra nodded "With the separation and everything or is there something else going on?" She asked looking at Josh, maybe having someone to talk to that isn't his mom or dad might help." She offered.

: : : : "I think it's the separation and the fact everything is moving too fast for him. Casey getting engaged to Adam and me bringing Josie home. Although I never intended for her to meet the kids but I should have thought things through better. My parents are still together, so I can't even fathom what this is like for a 11 year old kid. I mean, when I found out about having a secret half brother that was a result of dad cheating on my mom years ago, I was already 20 when I found out. I shouldn't talk though." He paused as he shook his head.

: : : : "Autumn, my eldest girl, is not Casey's. None of the kids know that, not even Jacob. He was only 4 and a half when Autumn was born and we were able to mask a pregnancy around him pretty good. I...I cheated on her, and it wasn't the first time, but it was the only time my actions resulted in a permanent reminder. I love Autumn with all my heart and do not regret having her, but I was pretty damn lucky Casey forgave me and has never treated Autumn any different than our own children. In fact, she and Autumn are really close. I don't look forward to telling Autumn the truth one day, but the birth mother and I made an agreement that when she turns ten, we will tell her. Her birth mother is a reporter for a Federation Newsletter and didn't want to give up her career to raise a child." Josh explained.

: : : Tyra smiled "You can do many things right." She said "You made an excellent picnic lunch, you picked the perfect spot to eat." She said "Don't beat yourself up about past errors. You can't change the past, but you can use those mistakes and their lessons to move toward the future." She said with a smile.

: : "Yeah, i plan to. And I would like you to be part of my future." Josh said before his eyes went wide and he put his hands up. "I mean to say, that you are turning out to be a great friend and I look forward to our developing friendship and uh, I mean, you are a very attractive woman and I would be lucky to have you in an intimate relationship but you are also much more than some girl or frivolous woman and I should probably just stop talking now. Like right now..."

: Tyra blushed "Well, you are turning into a very good friend as well." She said and looked back up at Josh "So let's see where this goes. No promises right now, but let's build on the friendship and if it develops into more, that will be great. I can see you being in my life too." She said as she popped some more berries into her mouth and grinned at Josh.

"Sounds like a plan, Stan...er Tyra." Josh laughed. "Sorry, my mom has these weird saying she says like 'Know what I mean, jellybean'. I always promised myself I would never use them. I utterly failed, I use them on my kids all the time, especially my girls. It makes Autumn giggle a lot."
