: : : : : : : : : K'Mar's eyebrow went up and a tiny smile played around the corners of his lips. Somehow his comment about the room and his way amused K'Mar. And if he was intelligence trained and had the Fleet Captain at his back, his staff couldn't have stopped him, although they could have warned their boss of his coming!
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : The Lieutenant caught the hints of a smile and the raised eyebrows of the other man. It was clear his emotions played a large part with him. even if he was half vulcan. It also seemed he put a lot more emphasis on the physique of his body than most vulcans Baelish had met. On the other hand, K'mar seemed to be capable of being standoffish and conscientious, perhaps traits from his Vulcan mother.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : "Is it now. Interesting. Well it seems we have something in common then as you must know if intelligence work is part of your job Lt. Aidan Baelish. So what have you done to FC Kerr to have deserved such a difficult mission? To get to know the personality of a half Vulcan within minutes, who has worked for Intel too and is very secretive.... the hell of a job!" he said, trying not to smile openly.

: : : : : : : : : - K'Mar
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : "On the contrary Lt. Commander K'Mar." Aidan half grinned again. "You have already told me so much. You allow the human side of you to reign more than the Vulcan side as you have dropped so many hints with your body language already. I only have one question for you that is easier asked than read. What were you to do if you clashed with another crew member like you did on the USS Genesis? Would you cut and run again, or perhaps force the other person to?"
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Lt. Aidan Baelish
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : K'Mar's expression and posture didn't change in the slightest at Aidan's words.
: : : : : : : "That is only partially correct. I can mingle in both groups completely and I use the traits of both sides as the situation demands. And I did not run from the Genesis. Cmdr King and I agreed to disagree and we both thought it would be the best if one of us left. It's been me because I was not half a s much emotionally attatched to the ship and its commanding officer. Cmdr. King is a very emotional human, which was one of the reasons we couldn't find common ground.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : : And in your hypothetical scenario I would do the same thing again, sit down with that crewmember and find a solution together, whatever that solution may be. There are several other solutions to this scenario too, which don't involve the leaving of one of them. This situation is a very good example of how important it is to not get too emotional in work matters, but stay focused on the overlaying goal. To have a crew that works together like a well oiled clock work, as humans say. Anything else would be illogical." he finished. If this Lieutenant wanted to provoke him to flip like Julien would have in that situation if verbally attacked, he had to get up much earlier. But he had to admire the young Lieutenant for throwing all that into his face.

: : : : : :
: : : : : : "A very emotional human, you say, about Commander King. But earlier you say you can use the traits of both sides as the situation demands. So in theory, you could have found some common ground with Commander King's emotions, you just chose not to. Interesting." Aidan replied. "Was your father an emotional human being as well or was he a closed and guarded person who never taught you how to feel anything but logical like your vulcan mother?"
: : : : : :
: : : : : : Lt. Baelish
: : : : :
: : : : : By now K'Mar had looked through the game of Lt. Baelish and if he was under orders to find out how emotional K'Mar was, then he felt sympathy for the security officer. And the more the young officer baited him, the more K'Mar turned on his cordial poker face.
: : : : : "I don't see how my father is of any importance here, but he was a normal, regular human being with human emotions who happened to fall in love with a Vulcan woman." he stated.
: : : : :
: : : : : - K'Mar
: : : :
: : : : "Most normal human beings don't fall in love with callous and cold beings, it simply isn't in our nature. We like to share feelings and emotions with our partners. Perhaps he simply was fond of her, and then did the honorable thing of marrying her. Tell me about your childhood." Lt. Baelish asked as tapped a finger on his mouth, "Let me guess, you simply had a normal, regular childhood."

: : : OOC: LOL. Wow, I really wouldn't want to be somebody who pissed you off! :-)))
: : :
: : : K'Mar's lips slightly tilted upwards again. "No Lieutenant, I will gladly give you acess to the files the counselor has about me, although I'm sure you've already read them even without my permission. But this conversation is over. What you are trying to do, without any reason given, I might add, is fine for me. I have nothing to hide and I don't mind being open about myself. But even a full blooded Vulcan would cease the conversation at this point after the direspect you have verbalised about my parents. And a human man might have already given you a bloody nose for it. So unless you haven't anything of relevance to say anymore, let's return to the party. My staff is after all responsible for the set-up and the smooth proceedings." K'Mar said evenly and turned toward the door.

: : OOC: I love this character, for real. So fun to play :P
: :
: : "You have lived up to your reputation as being a man who avoids conflict at all costs. Don't not take me wrong, this is a great gift for a leader to have." Baelish said to the man's back. "But I am disappointed Lt. Commander. You never once asked me for my credentials and even though you have never seen me before today, you have been completely open. I thought your record and your own self said, you had once been an intelligence officer. It's a shame the skills we learn there haven't stuck with you. Take your leave and I shall make my report to Fleet Captain Kerr. Enjoy yourself, Lt. Commander."

: : Lt. Baelish
:
: "You needn't be disappointed. You wouldn't have been able to get to me if you weren't who you say you are and what I have told you is, as I stated, in my file as well." K'Mar said in leaving. What was the Fleet Captain thinking? That security was so bad that any person dressed in a uniform could waltz around the ship? Did she think so little of his work, in times where face recognition and voice print was already an old shoe? This was one of the times that he was glad for his Vulcan heritage. A man like Julien would alread have wreaked vengance on the young Lieutenant for the massed insults. K'Mar however was indifferent, since the opinion of this officer wasn't relevant. And if the Fleet Captain had found fault in his work, she would come out and say it. Until that point it was illogical to waste energy on the what if's, a very typical human mind game.

OOC: Would you like me to now start replying in the other thread as Kerr/Baelish?
