: : : : : : : Marius was a few steps behind the Doctor with a pair of unidentified security ensigns in tow. "Caution Doctor, I have not be informed of the nature of the emergency." Often people would run into an emergency situation and quickly would become part of the problem and not part of the situation.

: : : Eugene sighed. Security always thought that Medical didn’t know what they were doing. His personal belief was that security was a bunch of meatheads that enjoyed getting to shoot things and tie people up, but that was just his personal opinion. “Aye sir,” he said with exasperation.

: : : : : : When the doors opened they looked into an original Wild West Saloon and there was a shoot out going on between the three Ensigns and the holographic Cowboys. Only the shots fired from the Ensign's guns seemed very real. They hadn't even noticed that an arc had appeared, they laughed and cursed wildly at the cowboys.

: : : : : =^=Computer confirm that the safeties are in place... If not terminate the program immediately.=^= Calvin turned towards the doctor. He wasn't convinced that the guns were real, the holodeck could be very convincing.

: : : : Safeties were in place, but the damage to the holodeck was evident.

: : : Eugene just shrugged. He wasn’t security, and he wasn’t about to try and explain to Chief Meathead in Charge that it was probably his security team that let this happen. It was either them or engineering. Engineers were just too smart for their own good. “I am not convinced it is safe yet and I won’t know who to treat until I can get in there a look for the patient or patients.”

: : He could see inside the Saloon around security and one of the Ensigns had a red uniform top although his pants were science blue. Or was that blood? His motions were a lot slower and he was very pale, while the other two Ensigns kept firing at the Cowboys and laughing wildly. Their heads were very red.

: =^=Computer terminate the program.=^= Calvin ordered. The holodeck could do little if the Ensigns in question had brought a live weapon on the holodeck. And with the noise and the giggling it was unlikely that the young men could or would hear any orders for Marius.

The program terminated, but the Ensigns barely noticed, the two healthy ones kept shouting and shooting, the injured one was looking around as if he didn't know where he was. Something was wrong with them.
Then there was an electrc discharge at the far wall and a crackling noise and then the light in the holodeck and the corridor went out. The wall panel blinked in a red light, indicating a larger technical problem.
