Furthermore, I've been digging farther into the database on what we have of mayan information, and I discovered something interesting. It seems that the statue is a representation of one of the Xibalba deities. Xibalba happens to be the mayan underworld, and it's puzzling that this planet has the same architecture as those on Earth. It could very well be that we're in the same area of the sky that they believed was the physical representation for the road to the underworld, but I need to cross reference the great rift with respect to our current location." : : : : : : =/\=Thank you Lt. Cross reference the geology of this area with that of the cave systems of Coban, Belize and Bolivia. That's where the Mayans believed the entrance to Xibalba was. It may be that there is some truth to it. We may find that the Mayan gods were in fact aliens who used this energy field to travel through the caves. I also want medical to do an autopsy on the High Priest when we get to the body.=/\=

: : : The area in question as the CAO would circle it around was twenty yards by twenty yards there were no walls as they were at the top of a large pyramid structure the closest thing for cover were four pillars that encompassed the energy field surrounding the altar area with the statue and dead priest.

Melissa walked around the edge of the pyramid looking for any chink in the shielding that they might use to their advantage. She turned her attention to the actual pyramid looking for carvings or writing that might give indication of how to shut down the power supply. Surely there had to be some sort of clue somewhere, they just had to find it.
