: : : : : : : : : Still more than slightly irritated with the run in with the the Junior officers manning the Foresnics lab, Alexander sat at the desk afforded him in his quarters. His nimble fingers began to quietly create and coalesce a document request for all files on the current case load of the Resolution.
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : He dashed off a letter to the Executive officer, since he was filling in as the Acting CO at this time.
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : .................................................................
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Commander Kotra,
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : It has come to light in recent events that my information concerning the current investigations and activities aboard the USS Resolution is sorely lacking. In the air of cooperation, I would like to arrange a full briefing on all current cases, and recently closed cases so that I may assess any potential dimplomatic implications.
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Alexander Courvosier, PhD RAdm Retired.
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : .................................................................
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Alexander also filed offical requests for information sharing with the CIO, and the CSO. He felt that he needed to be officially in the loop on the current case load being handled. By the time he had completed the paper work he was more irritated not less so, he hated paperwork, and the like. He could have gotten the information through other sources, but after talking with the officers working the forensics he was less than impressed with that line of svsilbility.

: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Marina read the incoming request and rolled her eyes. She still didn't understand the man's role on the ship. No one had told her what his purpose was or what authorization he had. Just because someone wanted to know information, doesn't mean they were entitled to it. As far as she could tell, he wasn't a practicing lawyer on the ship, so that didn't place him in the investigative circle of knowledge.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : She replied back as such, CCing the XO and said that she was happy to review the request again if someone provided her with more information that showed the man had a right to such knowledge. She also cited a warning that too many non-involved persons with access to current investigations could jeopardize the legality of such investigations and that caution was required.
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : Jusaro, CSO
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : Simon send a quick reply back to Courvosier informing him that currently the COS was non in the loop, except in a very general sense, on the current caseload and that when he recieved more informtion he would be happy to provide it as long as the Captain had given aurhtoization for the information to be released.

: : : : : : Kotra was in his office when he received the message and he read it immediately. He was still a bit incensed about the incident with the Cardassian but he took it in. He read the note a second time and pondered what to do. It was just then that a call came through for him from Starfleet Command. He pressed the answer button and on seeing an admiral on screen he said
: : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\=Admiral how can I help?=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\=I'm Admiral Ch'honn deputy head of Starfleet Operations. I'm pleased to tell you that we have a new Captain for the Resolution. I'm sending you the transfer orders now and he'll meet you at DS9 once you have dropped off your guest.=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\=That's a relief Admiral. May I ask who it is?=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\=Of course, it's Captain Tuvalek, a former CO of the Resolution, before your time of course. For now, you're to continue with your mission and the new CO will take command immediately upon his boarding, Any questions?=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\=No sir. Thank you sir.=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : : With that the screen returned to its normal state of the UFP logo. Now the ship had a new CO, he was going to be able to deal wi this better. He tapped his comm badge =/\=Lts Andrews and Jusaro, and Mr Courvosier please report to my office immediately.=/\=
: : : : : :
: : : : : : He s going to sort this issue it face to face and tell them about the new CO at the same time.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : aCO/XO
: : : : :
: : : : : Having finished a series of reports, both writing and reading, Marina was due for a break, so the call was a welcome one. The subject of the meeting was somewhat clear by the fact that he had called all three of them. She could only hope that someone would deem it appropriate to give her the information she needed in order for her to pass along information. After all, it did make a great deal of sense… at least to her. =/\=On my way Commander. Jusaro out.=/\=
: : : : :
: : : : : Several minutes later, the CSO arrived at the XO's office and pressed the chime.
: : : : :
: : : : : Jusaro, CSO
: :
: : "Enter." he said.
: : : :
: : : : Simon arrived just seconds behind Jusaro just as she was tapping the chime. "Commander," he said doing a good job of keeping his voice netural, "Everything okay?"
: : : :
: : : : Simon, COS
: :
: : "Yes. Thank you Lt." he replied matter of faulty. "Please sit down both of you."
: : :
: : : Alexander was as timely as the others coming up behind but not saying anything as they waited to be asked to enter the office. The short slightly pudgy man with white hair and beard, and bright intelligent grass green eyes, he was dressed as a civilian might be expected to, but his carriage held hints that maybe he had not always been.
: : :
: : : Alexander Courvoisier, PHD, Civilian
: :
: : "Please sit down Admiral." although he was retired, all officers above the rank of commander were able to use the rank in civilian life. Although he had been told not to call Courvoisier that, he didn't feel comfortable doing so. He said "As you two should already have seen, Admiral Courvoisier is not feeling as though he is in the loop so to speak, is that right?". He paused momentarily for an acknowledgement. He then continued, "As such, I would like to remind you that the Admiral is here as a civilian consultant on any and all cases you may not need his help on some but he has spent many years in the JAG corps so has vast experience in a range of issues. Questions?"
: :
: : XO
:
: Alexander sat back, and smiled a bit, "I do not feel that I am out of the loop, just wanted to clear the air officially so that information can be shared uncensored. Your crew has done a splendid job of sticking to offical evidentiary and precedural regulations regarding confedinetiallity, actually though I was orginally a bit agreived at it, I wish to commend them for keeping my nose out from under the tent flaps with out authorization." Alexander leaned forward. "In this paticular case I just wish to have the pertinent facts when I place the comm call to the Vulcan high command concerning the death, and dispensation of their citizen, and governmental employee. And one point of Clarification, I have served as a JAG officer but my career was in Intelligence, so if I can be of assistance clear informational road blocks I can help in that manner as well."
:
: Alexander Courvoisier, PHD, RADMRet, Civillian
"You can count on the full cooperation of the Security Department Admiral."
He turned a sideways, almost guilty glance at Jurraso. They had slept together, but that's all it had been was sleep. Still he found a difficult to keep his face impassive when she was around.
Simon
