: : : : The aCO arrived in the brig just as the Cardassian completed beaming in, complete with handcuffs He nodded to Andrews and said to the security NE at the control station "Drop the shields ensign." without comment, the shields dropped, the NE drew his phaser and pointed it at the prisoner. The aCO said "Well, looks like Dante was right. how the mighty have fallen." he then stepped forward and before anyone knew what was happening the Cardassian was on the floor blood pouring from his face.

: : : : The Bajoran aCO had punched the man three times square in the face and kicked him on the floor. Walking out of the cell he said to the NE "Raise the shields." turning to Andrews he said "Clean the brig up." he didn't even mention getting the prisoner medical attention and simply walked out

: : : : A stunned NE raised the shields and said "Lt Andrews wh-what just happened?"

: : : Security Chief Andrews looked around at the assembled staff. This just wasn’t right. Didn’t beating a prisoner until he was bloody violate everything that the federation stood for? He knew that Derth hadn’t asked them to get a doctor, but Andrews knew someone who could help. He tapped his commbadge, =/\= Lt. Andrews to Ensign Lagerfelt. Oscar, we have a situation down here in the brig. Bring some gauze.=/\=

As soon as he had called for the doctor, he turned to the Ensign maintaining the brig security. "Not a word of this gets out do we understand each other?" he said.

He then sprinted down the hallway till he had caught up with the XO. He grabbed him by the shoulder, "What the Hell was that all about?" he snapped angrily. "You get pissed off at me for blowing up at the Chief Investigative officer, you call me on the carpet and get up on your soapbox and tout the rule book at me like it was a Bible and then you attack a prsioner? Are you high?"

Simon realized when he spoke the words that he was overstepping his bounds, but he didn't care. He was angry and felt betrayed. He was sure the XO had a pretty good idea that he had lost someone he was close to,to the Cardasians, maybe even the Cardassian prisoner.

: : : Oscar got the message and wondered which of the violent offenders that they kept in their brig at any one time had gotten loose. He packed his bag with some gauze and some surgical tape. He grabbed his medical tricorder and headed down to the brig.

: : : The brig. One of the few areas on the ship that required enhanced protections. Only the armory and the warp power couplings had more protection. The turbo lift doors opened silently to the short white hall. At the other end sat a security NE. Oscar approached and was motioned to sign in. The computer took a copy of his thumb print and logged his entrance. He heard the shield click off and the door next to him whoosh open. Oscar stepped in and looked around looking for downed officer. Andrews came over to him.

: : : “Thanks for coming Oscar. We have a Cardassian who was…” he paused for a moment, “The new XO and he didn’t see eye to eye on an issue,” Andrews said.

: : : Oscar looked at the heap occupying the cell, “Did the XO ask me to tend to him?”

: : : Andrews looked at the ceiling and then at the floor, “Not exactly. I didn’t think leaving him there bleeding was the right thing to do either though.”

: : : Oscar sighed. He could get into a lot of trouble for this. He was sure the CMO, the COS, and the XO would have his hide but he nodded that he agreed and motioned for Andrews to drop the shields and to cover him while he was in there.
