: : There were certain orders of business she needed to take care of, and with that in mind, La'kia wandered the corridors. Meandered might be the better word though, as she had no destination in mind. Her thoughts were all over the place, bouncing from overwhelmed elation to gut-renching sadness. It occurred to her as she went through these shifts that that was what love did to you. In a very real way, it had overwritten some of her usual ways of being and most of the time, La'kia didn't mind.

: : She found herself in her quarters a few minutes later and sat on the sofa. Looking around, she took in the lushness that her makeshift ceiling trellis and living wall brought to the space. Sure, you could still see the standard ship walls and bulkheads, but there was more to it. And a little less if you counted the gravity difference. The Zaharan tapped her commbadge. =/\=La'kia to the Captain. Do you have some time? I need to speak with you about something important. =/\= She didn't specify where she wanted to meet and would let the Captain decide. Hopefully she was free, as La'kia needed to know what she needed to do next in order to sort out her future.

=/\=Umm, well, how about the arboretum? I have some recent transplants I wanted to check on today anyway and it's pretty quiet this time of the day…=/\= La'kia replied, trying to not be nervous. But the arboretum was a neutral location and would make her feel more at ease, even if the gravity was heavier.
