: : : : : Samoth asked, "is it against the standing orders to tell me what you are supposed to be guarding and what you are to look out for?" He was not really bothered about the extra security but he did not want obstacles to the smooth working on the bridge.

: : : "I'm Security Officcer Smith," the talking security officer said. The other one said, "I'm security officer Jones."

: : "Interesting, interesting." Jonathan replied as he tapped their names into a console database.

: : : The ship's personnel file would show that Smith had been on the ship for about 9 months. Jones about 6 weeks. Both are Crewmen rank, enlisted security officers.

: : : "The Captain went on a diplomacy mission with the leaders of the planet," Smith said. "We've been under orders to guard the bridge in the Captain's absence since the incident involving the space pirates in the Sombrero Galaxy."

: : "And the Captain figured his senior staff members were incapable of protecting the ship themselves?" Jonathan asked. Before they could answer, he sat in the nearest empty console chair and turned it to face them. "I think I will just keep an eye on you two for awhile, how does that sound?"

Security Officer Smith, the talkative one, said, "Thank you, Sirs. You can watch us if you want. You're the Security Chief! But, remember, we're not here to watch you. We're just here in case some intruders from somewhere beam onto the Bridge. Like the Space Pirates did in the Sombrero Galaxy."
