: : : : T'Pris watched slightly bemused as the human doctor walked distracted past her ,round another corner, then backed up and peered over a padd at her.
: : : : "I am T'Pris, a science transfer from the Valkyrie." T'Pris said tersely."My file should have been sent over, I am here for my boarding physical. I am curious Doctor, do children require a boarding physical as well? It was not in the regs." T'Pris finished as she rose from her seat. What was wrong with her? She was almost babbling like a human.

: : : Eugene smiled and started to walk back towards his office. He motioned for her to follow him and said, “Technically speaking, they do not require one as they are not being validated for readiness. That being said, my specialty is in pediatrics and as a doctor I recommend that all children be screened regularly. Do you have a child that you wish to be examined?”

: : T'Pris nodded as she followed him."I have a young son, Adrian Sorel. He is three Earth years old and had a precipitous start. He required heart surgery in vitro but has had no difficulties since."

: He nodded, “Bring the boy by when you have a moment. We will give him a quick look over and make sure everything is fine.”

: : : As they got to his office he filed the PaDD he had with the rest of the patient charts and went to the main computer terminal, “Computer display medical records for a Civilian T’Pris. She is a Vulcan and a recent transfer from the Valkyrie and serving as an adjunct to the science department.” The computer processed for a moment then displayed the report. He downloaded the file to a PaDD and motioned to have her follow him to one of the examination bays.

: : She followed him without comment and sat on one of the biobeds at his silent command.

: : : “It says here that you were previously a commander on the Valk before she was decommissioned. Any medical reason as to why you no longer hold that rank?”

: : "Not at all. I chose to step down after the Valkyrie was decommissioned voluntarily. Upon re assessment of my future path I decided that returning to the study of pure science was necessary at this time."

: : : He continued to read through the file and made the occasional “hmm” sound when he passed something that was interesting to him. Finally he motioned for her to lay down on the biobed, “Please relax it only takes a second.” When she had settled in he started the scan, and pressed the button on the machine to highlight differences from her last physical.

: : Fredrickson found the past medical assessment by the CMO of the Valkyrie from when T'Pris had become an involuntary symbiant to the incorporeal alien lifeform that the Valkyrie had been transporting back to its home realm.

: : The CMO, Dr. Jemma Farrugia, noted that the alien being apparently had 'died' to put it loosely, what it actually did was really more up to T'Pris' scientific abilities then to her own. She had sent T'Pris to Counselor Lorren for assessment.

: : The Doctor did note though that there had been physiological changes in T'Pris' frontal lobe that appeared on the physical scan. The aberration was apparent when one compared her physical findings before the situation with the alien to the ones afterward.

: : Her pregnancy had appeared to progress normally though in the third trimester it was noted that an heart defect was found in the fetus that required immediate surgery for it to survive. T'Pris opted to return to Earth for the surgery. Upon the successful surgery she had returned home to Vulcan to bear the child without complication.

: He had, of course, heard of Dr. Farrugia but this case apparently was not published before he left for the Genny. “Fascinating. Doctor Farrugia is fairly well known in the medical circles. You weren’t in better hands,” his voice trailed off. This report explained a lot of what there was concern for the boy. He was sure that everything was going to be satisfactory, but it was still worth a look. “So with everything that is documented here, the only known side effect in the boy was that heart condition?”

"I do not know that it was a side effect of anything but it was a condition that was congenital, yes. He has been fine since and has required no medication for the replacement heart. His body accepted it readily."

: : T'Pris' present scans coincided with her last physical on the Valkyrie with no appreciable difference. She was extremely healthy and in shape as per normal with a Vulcan officer. The only thing that might be of concern was her weight was slightly under what was normal for her height and age.

: Eugene was very impressed with T’Pris’s medical record. “Looks like you have been through a lot Ma’am. Have you experienced any symptoms related to this frontal lobe trauma that you sustained? Headaches, nausea, trouble with remembering things? Uncontrolled fits of…” He started to say rage and then realized who he was talking to. Any display of passion would be out of the norm for a Vulcan and thus should be considered a symptom, “emotion?”

"I was not aware that Dr. Farrugia actually stated there was trauma to the frontal lobe.She did mention that area normally associated with telepathic ability appeared altered. We both assumed that it was due to the alien being." She frowned slightly." As to my mental state, I have been under constant psychological care since the incident as I 'learned' to deal with the degradation of my emotional barriers, yes. As to be entirely uncontrollable I would say not though I do find the ....incidents of emotion uncomfortable."

: Once she finished he asked his last question, “Anything in that isn’t in your chart that I need to be aware of?”

"I do not believe so." She said briefly.

: While she talked he got the report and looked it over, “Well your cholesterol is down, along with your triglycerides, and a slight decrease in metabolic function, but that could be related to your drop in body mass. All of these are in normal ranges so I am not concerned. You are a little on the thin side for someone of your height.” He finished making his notes on her chart. “Fit as a fiddle I say. You are cleared for duty.”

: He stood and offered his hand to help her stand up from the bed, “Any last minute questions or comments for me?” He smiled and then gave a wink, “Or derogatory remarks?”

T'Pris blinked as she appeared to contemplate his last remark."No, I do not believe I have any comments to make as I have only met you. One question though, when should I bring in my son?"
