: : : : : The ship's personnel file would show that Smith had been on the ship for about 9 months. Jones about 6 weeks. Both are Crewmen rank, enlisted security officers.

: : : : : "The Captain went on a diplomacy mission with the leaders of the planet," Smith said. "We've been under orders to guard the bridge in the Captain's absence since the incident involving the space pirates in the Sombrero Galaxy."

: : : : "And the Captain figured his senior staff members were incapable of protecting the ship themselves?" Jonathan asked. Before they could answer, he sat in the nearest empty console chair and turned it to face them. "I think I will just keep an eye on you two for awhile, how does that sound?"

"How many of these space pirates boarded the bridge during that incident?" asked Rosington. He still believed if people were so concerned about the Captain, they should have ordered a larger detail to guard him personally instead of using remote sensors to watch the situation.
