The defector cometh. T'nel's arraival on USS Vanguard

: T'nel wasn't accustomed to feeling nervous. He didn't like it, normally he would stride down the corridors of the USS Myr with the confidence which always bordered on arrogance that only a Romulan can manage.
:
: Today however was different. He was begin transferred to the USS Vanguard, a vessel that was about as far away from the centre of the Federation as you could get without crossing quadrants.
:
: He carried what few processions he had in a standard issue holdall. Inside he had a few spare uniforms, a small pile of PaDDs and his documents. Not much for a former sub lieutenant of the Romulan Empire, it was almost pathetic, he thought.
:
: He was aware that the crew of the Myr were watching him as he walked along the corridor towards the transporter room. Flanked by two security officers he felt more like a prisoner than a crew member, but he said nothing simply nodded at those who managed eye contact.
: Even after two years, I am not trusted. He thought bitterly as the stares bore through him. Still he said nothing stoticly walking on.
:
: He thought back to the day the Myr had picked him out from his scout ship inside Federation space. Not happy memories he conceded, but it was the beginning of this new journey. He understood the suspicion as he was placed in the brig all those years ago. After all a Romulan with a conscience is a rare thing.
: He spent days in the brig, no one was allowed to talk to him. Only when meals were served did he get interaction and that was brief.
: It wasn't until DS5 that he was allowed to speak and plead his case.
:
: "Ensign." The deep voice brought him back to the present, commander Drobson was standing in front of him. The XO of the Myr was a cold man, with a chip on his shoulder, or so it seemed to T'nel. He was a Dominion War veteran, that experience had made him hard and none to trusting. "The sooner I get you off my ship the better." He recalled the commander saying during the briefing, no one corrected him. T'nel bristled at the disrespect, but contained himself.
:
: "Commander Drobson." He said inclining his head.
:
: "The Vanguard is ready for you Ensign, good luck." The commander didn't offer a hand he simply turned and left, leaving T'nel with his escort and the transporter operations officer.
:
: There was no point in delaying any longer so he stepped onto the platform. The Myr began to disappear behind the tell tale orange haze of a transporter beam. Followed by the tingling of his body being broken down and rebuild. The Vanguards transporter room appeared moments later.
:
: He stepped off the platform and down the steps. He handed over a PaDD to the transporter officer. "Ensign Nemork, here are my transfer papers. Permission to come aboard?" He finished with the warmest he could manage though admittedly that was still rather frosty.
:
: The transporter officer looked at the PaDD and sighed before tapping his comm badge. =^= Transpoter room one to bridge, we have another ensign aboard can a senior officer come and take him to bridge?=^=
