: : : : : Right then K'Mar walked in giving her a slight smile. He looked around and saw that the place was empty. "Computer, lock doors for 10 minutes, no override accepted." he said. Then he walked over to her and set on the closest stool. The red uniform and the pips still felt weird for him. It had all been so sudden.
: :
: : : : : "There. Ten minutes Esmee, if you want to relax." he said softly.
: :
: : : : The first thing Esmee noticed wasn't the red uniform and the pips, but the high level of emotion coming from a Vulcan. Except K'Mar was not a full-blooded Vulcan, she had almost forgotten that, it had been such a long time.
: : : :
: : : : "Ten minutes a alone, good, would be. Where to begin, I know not!" replied Esmee.

: : : : OOC: We should probably email each other to get this back story straight, or we can just wing it. I'm easy.
: : : OOC: how about playing it out as a recollection what they experienced then?

: : "You want to know where, been, have I? Since Romulus, I left Romulus. Most of story, you know, already... Sheltered and helped people persecuted by the Romulan Empire, I did... As an intermediary between Starfleet intelligence and Romulans seeking Vulcan unification, served I did... Gathering biographical intelligence by means of interpersonal contact and providing linguistic support, I was good at... Established a safe house on Romulus, I did... Assisted, refugees in escaping... Part of a network of safe house locations, it was... Later, settled into the secret life there, new agents could be... One new agent, he came to stay and, different to others, was he... Developed friendship, we did... Understanding... Then one day, to leave, had I and he, both..."
: :
: : "Travelled once again, did I... Always a traveller, was I... Never settled... Family of nomads, am I... Worked as barkeep many times... Meeting and talking to new people, I enjoy... Much, I don't need... Hide, do I, still... Naturally, it comes... Years of practise... Qo'noS... Bajor... Earth... Vulcan... Risa... Everywhere, I have been... To call home, nowhere..."

K'Mar nodded slowly. "Yes, I know that feeling. Not to feel at home anywhere." he said with a hint of sadness.
"I remember that time well, when we met back then in the foothills behind the safe house in the T'Kar province." he thought back.

It was rather hot. He wiped the sweat from his face, a face that felt strange to him. He would never get used to the surgical changes they had done to him to make him look Romulan.
He stumbled through the desolate landscape, in search of somebody.... something. Water would be good.
Since he had left the wreakage of his shuttle, and buried his co-pilot, he hadn't drunk anything. No Starfleet shuttle. Romulan shuttles didn't carry emergency provisions.
Why had he wasted energy to bury that cold-hearted bastard? He had no clue. All he knew was that his leg wound was still leaking blood and that he would die here if he didn't find anything soon.
Up ahead was a rocky hill, it looked like there was some cover and shade. Maybe a short rest would be in order.
He stumbled on, ignoring the searing pain in his calf. He had to survive though. He had found out critical information that he needed to get to his intel boss at all costs.
Finally he reached the rocks, and behind a few taller ones he collapsed. The shade seemed like heaven to him. He looked down at the bandage and pulled it up slightly to have a look at the wound. The movement sent a new arrow of pain through his body and he nearly lost consciouness.
Damn. He doubted if he could stand up again. The wound had deepened and was inflamed. Maybe some shards from the splintering controls of the shuttle were still in there. He had to get up!
He tried for hours to get up and finally he lost consciousness.
