Star Fleet have been tossing the word Vren at me left and right but have told me very little about them, which I find to be rather typical of that organization. How am I to protect the civilians of this planet from a foe I know nothing at all about? I am hoping I can count on you for that information."

: : : : "Do you need anything specific? I mean a full dossier on an entire race would be quite an extensive amount of data. I can do that but the resources I'd have to commit would be quite vast and very expensive."

: : : "I would like to know more about their military if they have any, and their known tactics." Everett replied. "For starters at least, then I would like to know what it is that they value the most."

: : : Everett took the data crystal and placed it into the data port built into his desk. A Screen popped up and displayed all the information contained in the crystal.

: : The crystal contained what appeared to be a complete history of Abbot's life from his mother's pre-natal doctor visits to the age of seventeen. It included images, video, and audio files as well as text.

: His heart did a skip when he realized that the information on the crystal was a complete history of his childhood, up to the day Payatt was killed in the fire. "Where did you get this?"

: : "I understand if this makes you uncomfortable, but there's no better way to display the authenticity of services than by providing information that the buyer knows in indisputably factual."

: He slowly nodded his head as he began to understand. It was all apart of the business and proved that Garrett was truthful about his services. "I am sorry about my earlier outburst. Of course such a display of your work is needed to provide proof of your capabilities. I am surprised there is not a record of my daily eating habits here."

Garrett smiled.

"Appendix F. If you used a cafeteria, public replicator, or made a purchase in a restaurant, it's there."

Garrett stood.

"If there is nothing else, I'll begin researching the Vren. Military, tactical, and infrastructure. It's going to be a large quantity of information. Most of it will involve their infrastructure. We'll discuss price once I have the data for you."
