: : : : "Fair enough," Ghubari replied. "I think most parents want happiness for their children, and if they are happy in their own marriage then it seems perfectly normal to want to pass that on. But betrothal is a complicated situation and takes real open trust with someone you may not know very well. It's not for everyone." Her own ideas on marriage were slightly skewed to, given both her tribe and her mother never marrying. Many in her tribe married young and so Ghubari was rather old to be still single, and Akeela's pregnancy later in her life with a man she never intended to marry shocked people. Especially given that he was an empath.

: : Ghubari smirked. "Not often, no. Or it's a working lunch. I munch on something, often samosas, while writing or reading reports. Not exactly fancy, but my job is too busy to sit down properly on a daily basis. Today for example, I have a meeting with Lieutenant Rai, my report due to the Fleet Commander, status checks on 3 other sub departments, and who knows what else," she said with a laugh.

: "Busy lady." he said smiling at her. "Well I am going to find a way to have lunch with you. I will just have to align the stars then." he said teasing her some.

She regarded him intently for a moment, her gaze soft. "Somehow I think you'd try to for something really important to you."

Ghubari shook off the strange feeling that fell over her and flushed. "Well, as you noted, busy day. I better get going, and so should you…"
