: : : : : : : : : : : OOC: However, Thorne ordered security teams to each transporter room. Since the Taul had to phase into our reality to use the equipment, it would be a good time to confront them.
: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : Another eight minutes have passed and an additional 207 souls were now debris floating in the Olinski's wake. Cordam was working as fast as he could to remove as many of the crew as he could before their eventual discovery. Tam broadcast their status to the others, ~ Cordam has moved 320 crew off the ship so far. It is moving much faster than we had anticipated. Their transporting technology is making our work light. We will have half of them gone in one of their hours if we are not discovered.~
: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : Bemla was the only one that acknowledged their achievement. Looking around the bridge she knew they had already been discovered. ~ You will not have that long, do all you can for as long as you can. Thank you for your service. ~
: : : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : : Her tone was not lost on them and Cordam looked up from the console and his eyes met with Tam's. A brief nod acknowledging that they were about to die together was all that passed between them before his small slender hand moved the controls again and another dozen Starfleet personnel joined their spaced comrades.

: : : : : : : : : Coryn stood at one end of deck 30 when he called to inform the bridge that he couldn't find NE Roberts. It was typical Roberts to not show up when there was work to be done. The Ensign took to the wall on his left that would put him on the inside of the Olinski's gently curving corridor as he made his way towards the transporter room. He had his tricorder in his left hand and his phaser in his right as he moved in a low crouch slowly in search of any intruders. Finding none he came to a stop outside of transporter room 10. Coryn knew that if he went into the room alone and was overmatched by intruders no one would know. =^=Vinoda to bridge I am outside of transporter room 10. I still have not seen Roberts, am I to go ahead and enter?=^=

: : : : : : : : : =^=Computer are there any life forms in transporter room 10?=^=
: : : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : : Vinoda
: : : : : : : :
: : : : : : : : OOC: Remember that the computer is being controlled by the Tauls and it will lie to you.
: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : OOC: I realize that but I get to play the role of stupid noob lol
: : : : : :
: : : : : : =/\= Negative. Transporter room 10 is offline for repairs. =/\= The familiar voice of the computer responded to Vinoda's inquiry.
: : : : : :
: : : : : : GM (do fairies lie?)

: : : : Having just beamed aboard shortly before the <em>Olinski</em>'s departure, Lieutenant David Flemming never truly had a chance to get around to meeting with his staff. He met a few of those he would work with on the transport over, however the last-minute acceptance of the ship's new security chief left him with no time for anything. He hadn't even been able to check in with the command staff to present his orders from Starfleet. Heck, he didn't even have time to stop by Sickbay to get his medical done.
: : : : :
: : : : : Coryn frowned at the computer's response. Surely if repairs were actually being done he would have been told before being sent on guard duty. Something just felt wrong about the whole situation. Unable to put a finger on it he decided it wouldn't hurt to check a little deeper. He tapped his comm badge again =^=Vinoda to bridge. Are there any repairs scheduled for transporter room 10?=^=
: : : : :
: : : : : Vinoda
: : : :
: : : : Stopping into the securiy office for a brief minute, he had found the office deserted. He tried the internal sensors to locate members of the security force, but couldn't get conclusive results. Something was giving him odd readings. Opening the internal communications channel, he tried to filter the chatter. Suddenly, a voice came through.
: : : :
: : : : :=^=Vinoda to bridge. Are there any repairs scheduled for transporter room 10?=^=
: : : :
: : : : "Transporter Room 10," Flemming said to himself, "Deck 30."
: : : :
: : : : Closing the channel, Flemming took off in a mad dash towards the turbolifts. Reaching the turbolift, he noticed on the display on the turbolift call that the turbolift was several decks above. "You're kidding me," he said as he turned and headed towards the nearest access shaft. *I'm too old for this stuff,* he thought to himself. 43 years old, 25 years in Starfleet as both a non-commissioned and a commissioned officer, David Flemming had been through almost everything you could think of. Finding the access shaft, Flemming didn't even stop to think as he jumped onto the ladder and slid his way down. 13. 14. 15. 16. The numbers blurred as his hands began to heat up from the slide. Finally, at deck 20, his feet landed on solid ground. He had reached as far as he would get from this junction. "Gotta hurry," Flemming said as he dove through the open hatch and crawled his way to the next ladder. His hands stung, but he pushed the thoughts of pain to the back of his mind. It took him another fifteen seconds before he reached the ladder which would take him down to deck 30.
: : : :
: : : : Just over a minute later, Flemming emerged from the access shaft and looked around at his surroundings. *This ship is huge,* he thought to himself as he took off in a sprint. As he finally came up on a man of similar size and build to him, he was able to see the mustard yellow of the security and engineering divisions. Not sure that it was the man he was looking for, Flemming simply said, "Report, Mister." as he came to a walking pace about ten feet from Vindoa.

: : : : Lt. David Flemming
: : : : Chief of Security
: : : :
: : : : OOC: Hello all, forgive me jumping in like this, but our XO mentioned I could in IRC.
: : :
: : : OOC: Welcome to the party Chief look forward to getting to know you
: : :
: : : IC: Coryn heard footfalls behind him and spared only a brief glance over his shoulder to confirm it was another Starfleet officer. Then he returned his attention to the transporter room door. Hearing the voice over his shoulder Coryn decided it must be one of the multitude of people above him on the food chain.
: : :
: : : "I was supposed to meet up with NE Roberts and secure transporter room 10. Roberts was supposed to be in the mess hall on deck 29, but he is no where to be found. The computer can not find him, and I couldn't wait for him. So I came here myself. I knew that if I went in by myself and there were intruders in there that got the drop on me, they would continue doing whatever they're doing and no one would know. The computer told me that the room is shut down for repairs but that just feels wrong. So I called in asking for permission... that about sums it up."
: : :
: : : Vinoda placed his tricorder back on his belt and awaited instruction.
: : :
: : : Vinoda
: :
: : OOC: Likewise
: :
: : IC: "Smart thinking, Ensign." Flemming said. He liked it when people trusted their guts and instincts. Not even two minutes and the young man before him was already impressing him. "You'll forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. I just came aboard when the ship set out. No time to get around to everyone. If you've been waiting for than a couple of minutes for Roberts, he's probably not coming. I'm Lieutenant Flemming. Have you heard anything back from the bridge, yet?"
: :
: : Flemming moved to the other side of the transporter room door, moving his ear closer to the wall to see if anything could be heard from this side.
: :
: : Flemming
:
: Coryn feared the worst for Roberts but refused to let himself admit it. "I'm Ensign Coryn Vinoda and once all this is settled we need to get a drink and get aquainted. I've not heard from the bridge and it makes me wonder about the status of communications. I think we might need to consider securing the room. If we wait until we establish contact and the intruders are using this room they will only be able to further their objectives."
:
: It wasn't his decision to make but it was his responsibility to provide additional options for his superior to choose from.
:
: Vinoda

"Take up position," Flemming said as he entrenched his fingers around the emergency release panel, "I'm guessing if you're getting no response from the Bridge, we're not going to get much help from anyone or anything else in terms of a verbal manual override. Going to have to do this --"

Flemming pulled hard and it took a few tries, but the panel finally came free revealing the manual door release lever. "--the hard way."

Looking at Vinoda and gauging the readiness in his eyes, Flemming drew his phaser. Memories of AR-558 flooded his mind for a moment, but he was able to set them aside. "Set to heavy stun. No telling what we might find in there. Do you remember your building search training from the Academy?"

Flemming waited for Vinoda to respond before continuing with what he had planned for insertation.

Flemming
